This is amazing! Wish we could sit-down proper like on chairs and at tables. Another simple, yet functional thing I’d like to see is the ability to place any item we wanted, like gas lamp on a table or a protective case just where we want it.

They need to look more into the base building side of game to add floors and roofs instead of just fence kits and code locks instead of combination locks they add all this other stuff base building been left behind

They did, they were planned on coming many years ago as what's called "World Container Storage" and were in actual in-game testing, even houses themselves for a brief moment had storage themselves, then suddenly, just like most cool things shown to us and promised to be coming, we never got them, and the devs forgot all about it. You don't know the half of it. You used to be able to combine a camo net with short sticks to craft a "Camonet Shelter" which was like a large, 3 sided camo net cover/blind/tent.... you could park a V3S underneath it, you might know it as the M3S now, you could also dismantle it and take it with you, covering your vehicle. What do you know about gathering up burlap, picking grass off the ground, and making your own (much F'ing cooler) "Burlap Rifle Wrap with Grass"(you could also just wrap burlap around your rifle for a much cooler shape disrupter than the ghillie rifle wrap). There's tons of stuff that we either had, or, was literally shown to us either in old "Experimental" testing patches and told were coming, or physically shown to us, and PROMISED, either on the Official DevBlog or Official DayZ Website, or the Official Trello Board....tons of missing melee weapons, less than and non-lethal weapons like the Dart Gun or Taser, shotguns, rifles, 2 LMG's, an RPG-7, LAW rocket, the ChinaLake launcher, SMG's, pistols, speed loaders, snap loaders, and moon clips for fast loading of the Mosin, SKS, Magnum Revolver ECT, helicopters, AIRPLANE called the Bumblebee, shooting from cars, running over fencing and telephone poles, other base building stuff..... the S1023 Minivan, the Multicar(little side-by-side type vehicle), there's 3 missing variants of the V3S/M3S (stake bodied which carries 10 people, bare chassis version, and the box truck type "Command V3S" which you can see occasionally as a wreck around the maps that you can get into the back of), dirt bikes, motorcycles, bicycles....literally all shown to us and PROMISED to be coming..... and the worst lie yet.....Utes Island Military Compound which is a large military island with a runway way out at "sea" miles off the southern coast of Skalisty Island, that was literally, LITERALLY shown to us INCLUDED IN CHERNARUS PLUS on an Official DevBlog video and told "we've heard your suggestion for adding Utes Island to Chernarus Plus, so here it is, it'll be coming in the next couple patches after it's all sorted"..... and guess what..... that was like 2015 and we STILL don't have it, even though we were SHOWN and PROMISED it to literally be added to the South of Skalisty Island 🙄😵‍💫

@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 wow! Lol! You’ve been a diehard player for longer than me! I bought the alpha test standalone over a decade ago. When there wasn’t even a structure north of the NW Airfield. Then it felt like they gave up on the game so I did too. About three or for years later I tried it. No infected, hackers ruled, you usually starved to death, or a glitch would kill you. and don’t even think of using a ladder. But I remember some of what you wrote about! Still have the occasional stun baton on my server. This game has unlimited potential but still feel like it’s in the beta stage. Every update feels like the devs only work on this game in their spare time. Every other weekend type of thing.

in all honesty i would rather have the option of been able to build single door floors roofs etc as we are very limited to just walls gates and watchtowers

Literally all we need is a window sized barricade, a "fence/gate" that's the size of a doorway (in addition to the large one we already have), and either a flat floor kit that can be elevated using page up/down on axis that can double as a roof..... I'd say "snapping" of kits to kits, like the roof kit would "snap" to the top edge of a fence, but I know it's too much to ask for (even though ever other base building mod already has it both on DayZ SA and Arma 2 and 3), or, make it to where the watchtower stair opening is "closed off" or can be closed off with an added step in building it, that way you could use it as a roof......oh.... and them returning both the Hesco Barriers we used to have AND the "Camonet Shelter kit"(if you don't know what that is because you're newer, you used to be able to take a Camonet and combine it with short sticks and it would make a large 3 sided camo net "blind/tent" of sorts that was literally used for both hiding away vehicles, you could easily park the V3S/M3S underneath it and throw a gate in front of the open side and completely secure your vehicle in camo netting, and, as a makeshift little base doing the same thing, putting storage inside it and throwing it in the woods). Regardless, Scalespeeder shouldn't be pleading with BI/DayZ devs on giving console items PC themselves don't have, he should've just said "please return World Container Storage to Vanilla/Official DayZ, period, across all platforms, so everyone could use it, and he definitely shouldn't be asking a bunch of people who don't know the difference to plead with BI to give one platform something that the other(PC) doesn't themselves..... nobody has this stuff in vanilla, and if it's not in vanilla, it's not in DayZ.

The idea of been able to utilise shelving etc that's already in game is a good idea or maybe have a MMG Storage style mod come to dayZ console something that would be a ground breaking add to DayZ. The console side of life needs some major tlc but without Server owners or just the console community as a whole asking for it to happen. I understand there is tighter restrictions regarding console to PC but none the less we are a big part of the stats when it comes to games across the board.

Honestly a container is all there'd have to be, kind of like a barrel, console needs more container types, especially lockable ones I would base up more often then, knowing I don't need 10+ gates or walls on walls on walls to feel that kind of safe. Time is everything & knowing after I die that the intruders still have safes or lockers to crack open (without the use of explosives) keeps me wanting to get back, id say hacksaws & crowbars would be ideal for cracking them open. IDK raw thoughts love the work keep it going rob 😎

This looking similar to the way The Long Dark bases look. Especially the storage. Looks good. The upgrades to Dayz should really be endless. I still think they should have a pvp and pve modes for the game or your server. I only play Dayz as a pve survival game. It really is great for that.

They should allows us to sit on chairs. Shoot from cars , repair items till they are fixed , add doors to houses instead of gates, we need camo hunting backpack so i dont have to carry giant Alice bag, allow us to lock cars, but shit i guess its too hard if they cant fix rubber banding vehicles. They broke gas pumps , mining rocks 😢

Why wouldn't you say "Bohemia, please add/return these items to DayZ PERIOD" instead of "console"? PC doesn't have these in official or vanilla, so why would you suggest BI/DayZ devs give console items PC themselves don't have without just giving them to BOTH? Side note: the refrigerator (along with other similar items) were literally coming to DayZ as what's called "World Container Storage", these were being tested in Alpha, as well as entire houses themselves having storage inside them.... the "Fridge" as its known as, was always intended to be attached to either a generator or a battery to keep running to keep your fruit, veggies, shrooms, meat, and fish from rotting....as per it's literal "in game description" states. But again, don't plead Bi/DayZ devs to add something to console when PC itself doesn't even have it, without asking for it just to be put in vanilla/official (i know the difference before anyone comments) for EVERYONE to use, as there's tons of PC players who have never even touched modded servers, let alone stumbled across one who were giving these as storage options to begin with.
