just a comment about your headaches, i noticed i had to look away in the heavily grassed areas as i was getting motion sick. i get the same when they use 'shaders' for minecraft.

I love finding new players, I always try and teach them the survival basics and send them on their way. Wash, food, meds, being a sneaky snake, and how to craft basic stuff. The first 10 hours of someone’s experience is super critical. If they dont understand the game, they’ll most likely not play again. Bigger community should always be the goal.

@@tremoniarules I just moved from Console to PC, so it's a new learning adventure for me. With a game like DAYZ, its good to remind yourself dying is part of the game/ learning experience. I've made it a goal to die every way possible. that way you know what to expect. ;)

It's experiences like these that made me love DayZ. As someone who's watched hundreds of hours but never played the game once, it was watching Smoke take relatively new players to places and heights in the the game that they'd been precluded from experiencing before that made me appreciate how versatile this game can be. It's not meant to be easy, you are meant to struggle to make survival gradually easier for yourself, and it's that struggle and seeing players work together to overcome it that makes the game beautiful. That visceral difficulty to survive and the immediacy and permanence of a player's death in the game is what makes each life feel so meaningful.

You're just hoping in the "wrong" servers, there's plenty of servers in which the community strongly "encourages interaction" in the early stages, it's the best way to play DayZ in my opinion!

@@lookatchu6523 it really depends on what you're looking for in terms of experience, noob or not, I'd recomend 'DayOne' or 'ZERO' servers, as their communities are "less toxic", more interaction & adventure focused (they have no base building active, so basically it's meant for exploring, surviving, meeting people and some PVP) plus they keep the "original DayZ feeling" without too much modding, just quality of life mods. Eventually and with time you'll get better at the game, just don't give up and learn from your previous mistakes, you'll be good! If you're having trouble learning the basics of survival, first hop on some PVE servers, preferably with no mods, or low pop vanilla servers so you feel confortable with the basics like loot routes, hunting/fishing, mastering the crafts and the gun mechanics killing some Zombies etc..

It's nice as a boob to run into someone friendly, my first ever game I was running round lost, starving and didn't have a clue, a car went by with 4 guys absolutely geared, I thought shit I'm dead but they actually stopped and spoke to me, they dropped me food, drinks, hear, a weapon and quickly showed me how to light a fire and a few other things, massive respect to them
