I'm a new fresh spawn watcher/subscriber and noob Dayz player. I tried the game today on my matt black Xbox series x gaming console when I saw it was on Game Pass. After a 10 min wait for the game to download and update I spawned into a small town near the coast. I could hear a cock 🐓 or rooster crowing in the distance and immediately headed towards it. As I turned the corner ready to hit the bird with my newly found tyre iron I was stopped in my tracks by 2 frenzy chickens charging me from behind...., then the loud rooster in front of me jumped up and started pecking me in the face. I tried to run but the other 2 had started pecking at my feet and caused me to start bleeding out. I tried swinging my tyre iron at them but pushed the wrong button by mistake and ended up dropping it. I was completely defenseless and helpless and then the thought dawned on me my first Dayz death was upon me, pecked to death by chickens. I tried to bandage my wounds then run but there relentless attack meant I ran out of bandages and was fastly bleeding out. After a few seconds I passed out......, A min or so later I came around but the damage was done I was to weak to survive and accepted the chickens had won. I slowly struggled to me feet and looked over to my right to see the 3 birds looking at me clucking and taunting me. I starred each chicken in the eye, went into my gestures clapped my hands at them and then fell down to my impending death. This was my first experience of Dayz and a lesson learnt. Don't fxxk with chickens.

A really old game that still has a pretty decent player base, is Daggerfall. There was even recent interest as someone has converted it into Unity engine with smoother graphics. I really love what they have done with the update. The night times are back to total blackness I used to love that with the very early versions of DayZ I'm so glad it's back.

New stuff I would love to see.... 1. When you die, your body will turn into a Zombie after 1 minute....carrying your things. 2. You can select to play as a Zombie...you attack like a zombie, you can scream like a zombie (calling for other zombies), you can open doors, climb up on things etc.

This is so much better on Console now. With the new spawn groups we can actually talk to people and meet up without the risk of people shooting at us for our loot. And if we do get killed, we can come right back and get our revenge. New sky-box looks awesome, New items and sounds, new map layout and fixings, new time of day on loading screen. Love it. I've already seen more people in 1 day than I have all year 👌🏼👍🏻

It's a gamble that you have to be willing to pay. Wait til Black Friday in a couple weeks, may go on sale for about half the price. It was on sale on Xbox a couple weeks ago so I bought it then. It's fun on console, just can't move things around in your inventory like PC I have noticed.

Only thing that deters me from vanilla servers are hackers and having no way to efficiently report them. Can't tell you how many times i make it to NWAF (playstation 5) and i find people floating around, no gun in their hands, with god vision and x ray bullets. 😂 can't do anything but cross that server off your list and rely on the community to make better ones. I have over 1200 hours logged and can normally handle myself in spite of standalone's many bugs and M/K players, so it isn't a skill issue.

I have 6k hours for DayZ. Ps5 too. Only ran into 2 actual hackers. The rest try to use a strikepack or zen to cheat, but it usually backfired on them.
