I am an age regresser, I age regress involuntarily when my mental health gets so bad that I start to get thoughts of hurting myself or relapsing. I spent roughly 7 years of my childhood being exploited for my body and being neglected by my mother. "little space" and "age regression" is about coping with trauma and abuse, while "age play" and "ddlg (daddy dom little girl)" is a kink. personally, I dont agree with ddlg as it is %90 of the time, sexualizing being a child.

IDK if I am an age regresser tho I have had a traumatic childhood, and I do find a lot of comfort in childlike things. It's rare to find me without some kind of children's toys. My house is full of children's toys and stuffed animals and blankets, and I even like drinking from babies' bottles. I age regress due to trauma and a few mental disabilities sometimes and a lot of big KZbinrs I see covering “adult babies” only think that it’s a kink or some weird roleplay thing I’m so glad you explained even if it was short at the beginning that it can be linked to mental disorders and abuse related trauma. (0:51) I wouldn’t really consider it a lifestyle though more of a coping mechanism (which is recommended by many qualified professionals in healthcare) but if your talking about the kink stuff it can become apart of one’s lifestyle. Sadly the kink side is what the media likes to show the most but I am glad you were responsible enough to say that it can be a mental disorder or related to abuse :)

this!!!! it can be involuntary and a lot of the time when it's involuntary if you're in an unfamiliar place it can be scary. I got overwhelmed and dissociated for a bit too long at a concert once and when I came out of it I was regressed and it was really scary. thankfully the people I was with knew about it and were really helpful and understanding and I was okay after a short while and ended up having a lot of fun, but when I initially came out of dissociating it was really scary.

Hi Daz, Minor age regressor here. Not an adult baby by any means but do regress uncontrollably sometimes usually triggered by my complex ptsd and abuse growing up as you mentioned in the video. I have a loving partner who supports me. It is in no way a sexual thing, nor a choice for me. I dislike it a lot, and it effects what I can and can't do. Lowest I have regressed is to age 7, with usually going back to age 9 when certain things happened and life got even worse. Its disorientating and causes a lot of dissociation and difficulty staying in reality. I lose my skills to cook, clean, and understand things like bills and taxes. When I'm regressed, I'm usually struggling mentally with the things that happened at that age, and therapists have told me this is likely a way my brain is trying to process those events by itself but not sure how to apart from replay it over and over. Still waiting for trauma therapy (it's been 8 years since I was reffered for it, but lots of bad shiz has happened again since lol) My partner understands and we have plans in place for when it does happen. He makes sure I know who he is to me, what events have triggered it, and does not do anything romantic to or with me until I feel my current self again. He helps me seek help, gives me my medication and supports me more like a good friend in those moments. Although I'm putting this under YT comments, it's not something I really disclose to people because I'm ashamed of it, myself and the things I went through. But thought it might provide a little perspective to your questions at the end

There’s definitely two forms of little space, people who display it are 100% doing it for a kink, but the other form is more subtle and in relationships there’s boundaries, rules come to play in both forms but when it’s genuinely for mental health or abuse reasons, the rules are less extreme and are more about looking after yourself and there’s not really punishments, there can be but they aren’t extreme punishments like spanking or writing lines

It really bothers me when people try to pass off age play as age regression like no get out, age regression is a harmless coping mechanism. As somebody who has age regressed before and who has known others who do it, we hate it when people try to make it out as a k1nk. It's not a k1nk, it's a form of healing. I experienced sexual abuse as a child and I ended up using age regression as a coping mechanism. Sometimes I chose to do it if I was stressed and other times is just happened because I was triggered. My partner was never apart of it. I had my friend watch over me when I was like that. It I needed anything I’d ask my friend. I’m a lot better and I haven’t regressed in over a year. It was absolutely never sexual and I would absolutely never call it a kink. That’s disgusting.

Hi Daz, I think the main thing to know about age regression vs ddlg is that ddlg is a kink and age regression is a coping mechanism that can be voluntary or involuntary due to mental health issues or past trauma. They are VERY different and should stay separated for alot of reasons. For age regressors, it is a temporary state of mind and a change in the way we process our emotions, not a lifestyle. Im glad you kind of touched on it this time but Its really important to be aware of the differences as ddlg causes some very harmful stereotypes for people who are already struggling, not to mention it can be dangerous - age regressors actually regress (clues in the name) to a younger age, hence why it would be very inappropriate to act in a sexual way towards someone in this headspace.

I'm a DID system (a result of immense childhood trauma) with a 7 year old alter who is stuck in that child headspace and always will be. She's separate from me. Our brain put up amnesia walls to keep those parts of the brain apart. It's not something I willingly do like these people. They can snap straight back into "adult mode" when they need to. She can't. She is kept off the internet and away from strangers because she is genuinely vulnerable. That part of the brain is a small child and always will be and she wouldn't understand this lifestyle

Hey Daz just so you know there is a legit therapy tactic where one does age regress and they occasionally have what are called caregivers which can very often be the regressors significant other or a very close friend. In this version there is nothing sexual about it as the regressor does revert into a child’s mindset and the caregiver is only there to help the regressor when needed and to help give comfort. Now this is all very different from the DDLG kink as age regression is not sexual in the slightest bit while DDLG is based on sex and sexual behaviors. I do just want to let you know. I personally find the DDLG stuff gross but I do not judge, while age regression is something that should never be viewed in any sexual light and when it is and people explain it as that is disgusting. I myself age regress do to severe repeated childhood trauma and it does genuinely help but it has never been a sexual thing for me or any SO I’ve had and whenever they have viewed it as such I’ve always ended the relationship. Now I am not saying this about said couples (I haven’t even finished the video) but the way you were talking about it I wanted to let this be known because it is not something most people know and I just want it to be more wide spread

Like as someone who is fighting with PTSD from my fucked up childhood. I get that part of you that wants to go back to that and get to have that child-like experience you missed out on. But I still have that mature side of me who does want my butt wiped or to be treated like a child through punishment or where ever they may go with it. But that's why they have therapy and things that helps you connect with your inner child appropriately. I've discovered a lot of stem like toys that I can play with for hours. But I'm still an adult who's just having a moment. I don't think I explained this too well but I hope most understand what I'm trying to say. Love you Daz! Another great video!

There is a difference between people with a disorder, which is where 'little' and 'litte space' comes from, usually from trauma and abuse as a responsive way to cope from the past I believe. But there is a BIG DIFFRENCE between it as a kink! That I know for certain. That one is one that I personally just find gross because it's getting 'excited' from someone acting like a child. I started regressing about a year ago when a friend introduced it to me, since we had similar struggles with mental health and being suicidal in the past. It actually is amazing how going into a safe space like that with someone you trust(or by yourself) can help heal/calm you down. It makes me incredibly sad that all the media sees about age regression is age PLAY, which is an entirely different thing. age regression is completely SFW and is a coping mechanism for those who deal with trauma of many kinds. Age PLAY however, is the kink version, and the SFW age regressors(like myself) get lumped in with all of the ddlg and age play kinks out there, so people automatically assume that we’re perverted/pedophilic when actually it’s just so that we have a safe space where we don’t have to worry about the pressures and stress of everyday life.

@@LMCSM no no of course not! for me and a lot of others that I know and have talked to, little space is a mindset that we can enter when we need a break. Some people meditate, some people go on vacation, or others just take a long nap or call in sick. For us it’s not a constant lifestyle. We are responsible and behave like normal people in society until we’re alone/with someone we trust and are tired, overwhelmed, stressed, or just need a reset, then it happens and it’s refreshing to clear your mind. I get that it’s hard to understand if you’ve never experienced it. When I was introduced to it I was confused, and thought it was a weird concept until I tried it and realized that it actually helped me calm down a lot. Usually when I regress it’s at night when I’m done with everything for the day and I don’t have anything else to do, so instead of watching tv or f-ing around I’ll regress to relax before going to bed and de-stress.

I do age regress, I do like playing with dolls and things like that, but it's such a therapeutic experience for me due to the abuse I endured when I was younger. I'm also a full time mother, and that brings me a sense of fulfillment I can't get anywhere else, as I am trying to break generational cycles. I age regress but I'm still an adult, I pay my bills, I take care of my daughter and being an adult comes first.
