I’ve been on this tour twice, and I still am baffled at the knowledge Scott has!! I absolutely loved every second of this tour, and all the in depth info we got at every stop. Very sad to see it closed down.

I could kick myself for not going on the tour as I was right there. Never wanted to go alone. I was following the find a death website for many years. But I did drive by OJ’s house when it still stood and if course Nicole’s house. The blogs are fascinating!

When I was a teenager I said it was my dream to own graveline tours and then I remember graveline didn't exist anymore but someone who I guess pretended to be them or something like that made reservations for me and my then boyfriend to have a tour. And it was the wonderful Scott Michaels who informed me that the gentleman who was reporting that he was running graveline tours was like in Egypt or something and wouldn't be back in time to do a tour on Valentine's Day which is what I had reserved but Scott was gracious enough to offer me the ability to take an early morning tour with him instead. And I will never forget how gracious it was for Scott to offer such a thing I mean he was literally willing to take us out before his first tour of the day. For that I will always respect Scott Michaels and the great work that he does keeping old Hollywood "alive"

How crazy. The video starts at Shakespeare's Bridge where around 1987 I was on my motorcycle coming home from a party racing my room mate driving his car going the same direction the video starts in. Where the road splits before the video starts I went to the left side and room mate went right. Of course I beat him to the bridge but, when I hit that huge dip in front if it and got speed wobbles and went down. My bike spun in circles in the opposite lane almost the entire length of the bridge while my body rolled behind it. All I saw was my room mates headlights and sparks from my bike every time I rolled over. I got up with just some scrapes on my jeans and on the bike. Checked for oil leaks and rode home. I lived in many parts of Hollywood and loved seeing all the areas you drove through. I lived only two blocks from MGM when it caught fire in the 70's. So much has changed but, I still love the Hollywood Bungalows architecture.

I went through the Hollywood Forever Cemetery when it was still called Hollywood Memorial Cemetery taking pictures with my new 35mm camera. The creepiest find of the day was a mummified toad sitting on Cecil B DeMill's sarcophagus (?) as shown at approximately 5:23. I was very tempted to take it home as a sort of souvenier/conversation piece, then thought better of it and ended up leaving it where I found it - "just in case..."

These tours are just fascinating, thank you! And I love all the Hollywood trivia, legends and stories. Some of these residences have quite a creepy vibe about them I gotta say, like George Reeves and Vincent Price's old homes. It's also surprising how modest some of the homes are for big A list stars, and that in later life they often blend into the background of obscurity like regular people. Hollyweird; such a world of magical illusion and mystique!
