Great little town. It is hard to believe that it was once the largest city. That is def. one of those places that personifies the expression "if those wall could talk". Very cool art and artifacts. Thanks Jordan

And those ghost towns keep on coming. Supposedly the town of Coalinga Ca is going to run out of water in 2 months. Sad..however, very informative vlog Jordan especially with the Earp brothers history attached to it. Very brave men who stood up for what’s right during dangerous times. That diner and patty melt was a welcomed site. Meal looked delicious 😋. Safe travels my friend❣️🙏🏻🌵🌼🌸

Hi Jordan, such beautiful scenery! I think it's great that they try to keep the original feel of the old town going. What lovely mini old frontages to the stores. I bet there are a few spirits roaming round those rooms and corridors of the old hotel. Funny, it was one of the busiest mining towns ever many moons ago, yet you barely saw a soul now. Great vlog Jordan.

What a great little town it is shame that a fire destroyed it so many years ago. The history is this little place. All those grave stones and of course the car museum out in the desert. That really was interesting to see what one can do with old cars

If you watched the original Vanishing Point movie(1971), the Goldfield Hotel was the radio station where Super Soul broadcasted, its the corner of the building with the big glass windows.

I recognized the Goldfield Hotel right away as the location of Super Soul's station. Awesome movie. I wonder what happened to the Challenger?
@dodgeboy905014 жыл бұрын
@@kidokra The original Challengers from the movie were on loan from Chrysler which wasn't to happy about the movie. After they were returned, all four of them were crushed. The ones that were in the remake still exist.. interesting side note: Dodge has never released the Alphine White paint on any car since.

I checked out the Dinky Diner area on Google Maps and noticed it looked like a thriving gas station hub at one time. The Dinky Diner sign near the road has the frame of a Texaco sign of the ‘60’s. The Shell sign I think is from the ‘40’s. Directly across the road from Dinky is a beautiful classic ‘40’s station. On Google Maps you can see gas pumps in front of Dinky, but as you passed by that area, it looks like the (inactivated 🤔?) pumps were covered up with fake outhouse facades.

hey! here in the Netherlands, we got a lengthy Playmobil Rijksmuseum giftshop stop-motion commercial how appropriate with you being in a museum and all. another strange coincidence is I'm from 1974 the same year Playmobil came into the world and as such, I collect the 1974 ones, and even more coincidentally I found the chrome knight in a thrift shop today! for you who don't know the chrome knight is the holy grail of Playmobil to find with less than 20.000 sold between 1974 and 1981 the chrome knight is a completely chromed figurine his whole body toe to head is chrome even his face is chrome! except for the wig piece. the figure I found was bare just the figure no extras but luck has it that I already have his helmet cuffs long-axe sword and armor one very tarnished figurine (yes they are prone to rust!) sold in Germany in 2011 for approx $3000,-! mine is also tarnished a bit but not as much as the one in Germany it still shines while the other one was pockmarked all over yet I don't have the box which came with a horse well, the horse was the standard generic bad plastic one wich all the knights Vikings and cowboys had so I have all except the box the going rate at the moment could be as much as $5000,- not bad for a $3,- purchase! I also found the 1974 robot which is a figure with add-on big-high shoes I don't know the going rate for that one...yet! but I do know like the chrome knight it's as rare as hen's teeth! strange then to see this commercial...

Fantastic video. My wife and I have been to the Clown Motel and the Goldfield Hotel taking pics and doing EVPs. I agree 100% about the drive...simply beautiful! I just have one question...I used to watch a black and white creepy show called "One Step Beyond" with John Newland as the host. These were "real life" paranormal events back in "the day" and Newland also performed in movies as well. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to L.A. just like you did. He passed away in 2000 and I noticed that you have not done a Vlog on him so I thought that this may be something to consider in the future. I am also from Ohio and have moved to Oregon to live among the firs! How 'bout them Buckeyes?? Take good care and I so enjoy your Vlogs! Seriously thinking about becoming a paying member! Thank you for all you do and keep up the good work!!
