Enjoyed hearing about your childhood! Left my job 27 years ago because I couldn't drop our son off at childcare. 3 kids later, still couldn't do it. Never went back to work. I was lucky I didn't have to work. Now we have 3 grown adults. I don't regret any of it. BUT, now we have 2 dogs that I won't board, so we take them with! Never ends! LOL!

Jordan, I’m so sorry about your dad. I was older but I am fairly certain that my dad died of the same brain cancer. It actually starts in the exterior lobe and is hard to find until it’s too late. I remember being so scared when he hallucinated. God bless you!

I really enjoyed this video. It was great hearing about your childhood and seeing your houses, schools and places you played. It’s so sad that you lost your dad at such a young age. That’s a very difficult thing to go through for a little boy but now I see why you’re so close with your grandpa. He’s always been a big part of your life.

That was super enjoyable, Jordan. Your "statute of limitations" comment made me laugh out loud. I always love hearing about the lives of my favorite people. The stories of your father are especially touching. There's no doubt that losing a parent is very hard on children. When you are older, it's a great comfort and blessing to have good memories of those absent from our lives. A couple of observations about Troy: GRASS EDGERS--someone needs to start a GoFundMe for grass edgers and donate them to the town. LOL! You can let your lawn grass grow a tad long but edging always makes a business, school or a home look well kept. And that little Thomas E. Hook Elementary squirrel needs to know he was on a popular vlog. Perhaps you could send the school a framed screen shot of him along with a bag of unsalted peanuts to put on that tree for him. Looking forward to the next episode on Troy. Kiss Jah for me.

I just got back from Israel where I filmed and summarized a lot of the sights. I found myself thinking of Jordan because it's sure harder than it looks! Researching the interesting features, briefly explaining, and then filming around obstacles and noise is a huge challenge. Gotta say he makes it look easy.

Great memories you have. Love the Grandpa & Hardee’s story. Just had a discussion about another vlogger who has 12 kids and does nothing but buy stuff for the kids and doesn’t have time for all of them and she’s touted as “the best mom in the world”. No, it’s what your grandpa and you did that makes memories special. They won’t remember “stuff” they remember connection and attention from people. Can’t wait for Part 2.

It's sad when you loose a family member at a young age. Can understand you being depressed after your father has gone. I'm so sorry you lost your dad at such a young age ☹️ I really enjoyed your childhood memories of your hometown. And it's good that you're doing this now because I grew up in Los Angeles, and they keep knocking down everything here. Last year they knocked down the duplex that I lived in until about 7 years old. Luckily they did not knock down the house that I grew up in, not yet anyway. And the building wasn't that old. It's funny the things you remember as a small child. I remember my first day of kindergarten so vividly. I have my elderly parents living here with me, I don't want them in a facility as long as I can help it.

I have a couple mildly traumatic experiences from preschool plus a good one that my mom told me about years later. 1) Our recess was in a church gym. They would line us up at the door single file when it was time to go to class. The door to the bathroom was on the adjoining wall at the corner of the room. They had industrial tricycles in the gym - heavy with solid wheels. I got ran over by one of those suckers - and not accidentally. The “perp” was not punished. 2) I had an “accident” one day. The teacher left the bathroom door open when helping to change me. Every one of those kids trooped by, gawking at me as they passed by in single file. Cruelty. It’s not like I was a repeat offender - it only happened that once. So either she was indifferent to my embarrassment or trying to make an example out of me. 3) I was only 3, possibly 4. The teachers told my mom I could read. She told them I was putting them on - I was just pretending to read a book I had memorized from her repetition at bedtime. So the teacher said “Pick a book off the shelf that you don’t have at home.” She picked one and I just started reading away. My mother screamed with shock! Lol. I guess that’s why I can’t ever remember not knowing how to read.
