Thank you, Jordan! He was a good actor and good man. It's a shame society doesn't allow people to be themselves. We're all different and should appreciate each other's differences. Rumors turn into destructive venom true or not.

You are right, just like today, it doesn't matter what your sexual preference is as long as it is safe and all consenting adults. I'm baffled by those who feel the need to know and by those who feel the need to tell.

Yes and I feel for the family because once some tabloid puts it out there TRUE or not, even when there is ample proof the charge was never true, people just want to believe it.

Thanks, Jordan. I have been doing family research for twelve years now. Randolph Scott turned out to be a distant cousin to both my mother and father through the Randolph family of Virginia. Randy looked a lot like my dad across the jaw line and chin. Any time I see an old Randolph Scott movie, I spot my dad in his smile. It is very heartwarming.

Diane. I also am related to "Cousin Randy". That's what my Dad always called him. Randy was my Grandmother's sister's son. My grandmother was Mary Louise Hudson. My mother was Josephine Louise and I am Judith Louise.

Great video, Jordan! It really doesn't matter if he was gay or not. It's none of our business. One thing that people don't realize is that two straight men can love each other as friends.

Thank you Jordan for finally doing a vlog on Randolph Scott. One of my all time favorite actors. Unfortunately, the Mid century home he built in Beverly Hills, was torn down, like so many others, to build a great monstrocity. He loved golf, and built his home right off of the Los Angeles Country club golf course. They didn't allow actors to join, but they eventually did allow him. RIP Randy.

I remember the stories of how they liked the gay rumors because all the women would want a night with them in an effort to "turn" them and both Cary and Randolph took full advantage of that. Peak playa move, right there! They both seemed like great guys and I'm happy they had a lifelong friendship. Especially after Cary's awful early life, I'm glad to know they both had solid, positive relationships of all varieties in life.

So Randolph Scott, was Cary Grant's boyfriend and hey lived together for a while. There is film footage of them together at the pool and inside their home. You show pics of them together. Both of them were probably closeted. The studios at that time did not tolerate homosexual relations between the boys in their stables who had to uphold a straight image. And so it was also a problem with Anthony Perkins, Tab Hunter, Roddy McDowell, Montgomery Clift, Farley Granger, George Maharis, Jim Nabors and of course his boyfriend, Rock Hudson, and the many thousands of actors who had to be in the closed in Hollywood.

Thanks for that! Very interesting! It doesn’t matter what his relationship with Cary was and if someone was your best friend for so many years you would be very upset too so the fact he burst out crying doesn’t mean it was more than that.

Welcome to Charlotte, Jordan. I grew up a few blocks from Randolph Scott's family's home and knew he had lived there briefly when he was young. It's a lovely home and neighborhood, and I often went past it when I took walks growing up. I did not know he was buried in Charlotte. Great video.

People should be allowed to keep their private life private. Men and women should be able to be close friends with the same sex as well without innuendo. It is just wrong and hurtful. It is their life, not ours and the public have no right or need to know. Acting is a job like fireman, doctor...garbage man. After all, you would not ask a fireman if he was gay after he saved your house from burning down, would you?? Great vlog Jordan! Loved it.

There was a magazine photo shoot that thought that it would be funny to have them look 'domesticated', since they were sharing a house. I've read a lot of biographies on Cary Grant over the years and tend to believe his exes and close friends over people like Scottie Bowers and Charles Higham(who trashed, without sources, every single celebrity the he wrote a bio about).
@MothGirl007

That's exactly what happened - the magazine totally went for that angle, as kind of a joking thing and the two men went along with it.

Awesome video...thanks !!!! PS: Who cares about the gay thing. I remember the rumor Errol Flynn and Tyrone Power had a gay affair....total crap. I was lucky to speak with Flynn's stunt man Buster Wiles who lived at Errol's pad for a bit and I asked him about the rumors of Errol being gay and he laughed and said "Errol wouldn't have time to be gay as he couldn't even keep up with all the women after him". Gossip sells books and magazines I suppose.
