I just received my mini kits and a couple of extra mini colors. I also received the hail hardener you has suggested, so I'll do that for a week before giving the DD a first try. I'm so impatient, so waiting will be a challenge. LOL I like today's Love's Secret, but it may be just a bit too yellow-beige. I wonder if there may be a good topper for it to take the yellow tinge down a bit. If not for this I'd love it. High Velocity Red is now on my list. On my monitor, it seems to have a fuschia shimmer to it. Do you use your shaker on your DD bottles before use?

You two have charisma! Here's my problem: I have pale aging hands w/ prominent aqua veins. I used to bite my nails so my nail beds are very small without any white extending to my fingertip. I keep my nails absolutely as short as possible because I'm a pianist (so I don't want longer nails). I also have bulging knuckles from arthritis. I've found that cool-toned polishes only bring out the veins and anything particularly deep -colored, bright or clear-toned spotlights how stubby, knobby, blue-veined my hands have become. If I paint a dark color on my nails they can look very square and bitten, even though I stopped that bad habit years ago. Despite all of this, I need a classic , dusty red or dramatic neutral nail to fit my coloring. I'm just not a Ballet Slippers kind of gal. I've found some success w/ using a subtle metallic bronze stripe down the center of a neutral nail to distract the eye. Do you have other tips for using polish to distract from less attractive hands?

Hi Mt Mama. That's a bit of a tough one. The initial answer would be "It depends". There are so many different skin tones, hand shapes, and nail s/nail beds We would have to see your hands in order to give a more accurate suggestion.
