I just wanted to come on here and say THANK YOU! Finding your channel and changing up my nail care has significantly reduced the damage I was inflicting on my nails. For about 5 years I would consistently get gels and sometimes acrylics and had become bored of it. So I thought it would be a good idea to do acrylics myself. Boy was I wrong, I ended up over filing and caused onycholysis. I’ve been taking great care of my nails for about 2 months now since finding your channel and the large white parts of my nails are almost all grown out and the new growth is beautiful and strong. Every day I use a wooden stick and push back my eponychium and use jojoba oil constantly. Also, DAZZLE DRY!!!! I have ordered quite a few colors and am AMAZED! I attribute all of my nail health success to your channel so again, I just wanted to say, thank you!

I really love Aegean Cruise and never understand why Ocean Motion is more popular. (Both are fantastic). I wish they could offer a swatch sheet with true colors. Nudes are so hard to match to skin tones online.

You can also do base x 2, top coat, dry 5 min and another base and then color to add thickness without purchasing separate product. I think Transform might do a better job but for now maybe you can try this trick?

I love your channel. I used your beyond polish code and purchased the summer collection from CND (the bright shellac colors). Your channel has revived my love for regular polish in a time where everyone’s switching over to gel. (I feel it has its place, but, being a pedicure specialist I’m not a fan of gel on feet). ❤️

Hi Meagan! Thank you so much for purchasing with our link! I soooo agree with you about gel polish and pedicures. I really really don’t recommend it. Trust me, when I started working here in Spain all of my new clients had gel polish (they call it semipermanent). It was a heck to remove and the damage underneath! So sad. It’s not even often the nail techs fault but it’s too much product on the nails that are squished in shoes all day. Also because the toenails grow so slow it takes so long for the damage to grow out and see progress. Not to mention moisture build up under the polish, not a good idea on toes (risk of fungal or bacterial infections) Have you tried Dazzle Dry? I’m so curious!!

I agree with Joan’s Armor, and Alluring Charm. Kind of surprised. Most of all surprised not to see Blue Blood because that’s my personal FAVORITE! Most of these are nudes/lights and I’m surprised it’s not more a mix of both light and dark. I agree with Anna, nudes are just hard. Finding the ones that look best with your skin’s undertone is hard, ESPECIALLY buying online. Which might be why I only have a few light/nude shades- Boss and Alluring Charm. Maybe if the organized them by skin undertone? Idk.

I’m going to be super honest with you. I don’t think the rules of certain colors to be good for warmer and cooler skin tone. There are so many variations of skin tones and I don’t think they can be divided to 2 types like this. Personally I always always always put the color next to the clients skin (top of their hand) and see if it compliments them or not. I’ve seen cool colors look beautiful on warm skin tones and vice versa.

Hi Nykka3! I find Essie showing the colors somewhat helpful but not really. First of all, they don’t show a real color on real nails. I think it’s a photoshop. Also there are sooooo many variation of light complexion , medium complexion and dark complexion. And there are probably 100 in between. I mean it helps but I can’t compare Essie’s million dollar company with a huge budget with 1 nail tech with a limited clientele with even more limited amount of clients willing to sit through a swatching session AND having a decently good nails so they don’t get roasted or ridiculed publicly on social media. Ah the reality, it’s cruel sometimes. 😏

@@TheSalonLife you would certainly know more than I, as I’m just an at home user, but I can say finding those nudes/white/blush colors that look good with my skin are WAY harder than the darker ones. I think of it like finding the right shade of makeup foundation. It’s harder than finding the right eyeshadow. So, I limit my purchases of those lighter colors because I’m more often disappointed. However, I’m pleased with Boss and Alluring Charm, so, I just try and be content with that, lol!

I'm not surprised by any of these as top sellers, though many of them are not super popular in my studio. Less is Mauve is definitely my most popular color. Though as soon as I got Heart's Caress, that's been a very close second. Lit is the most popular red for me, not a lot of people choose Fast Track Cherry. Prima Ballerina is popular for my manicure clients. Nudes are not really chosen a lot for me since I do mostly pedicures, and clients are a bit more adventurous with their toes!

Do you use Perfectly Plaid? Omg I love it! My most used darker red. I feel that it goes better with majority of skin tones. I also use lots of Alluring Charm and Smitten on toes. Especially with a tan in the summer they look great!

My favorites are Less is Mauve, Fast Track Cherry and Love. 🥰 all 3 works for every occasion and I haven't needed new colors so to speak. I'm actually surprised to see so many transparent colors because I hated having to but so many coats and it still look milky and uneven. Maybe I'm missing the appeal 🤔

transparent colors are supposed to be milky and transparent :) They should go on even though in 2 coats and look sheer. They are sometimes more difficult to apply I admit.

I am a postal clerk and sorting mail is absolutely brutal on my nails. DD is the only polish that lasts a full week with only a little wear on the ends of my nails. Since I do my own nails I dont use gels. I love rose quartz, but I’m trying a Boss mini this week. 🙂

Ocean Motion is my number one fav. I was a little hurt though, when you said it’s a good spring and summer shade 🥲 because you left out winter 😄 Jokes aside, I did first think of winter for that incredible blue! This shade pushed me off the fence to try Dazzle Dry. I use color street and other dry polish strips because my wet polish skills are so bad. This is a fantastic video!

I'm a new subscriber and am loving your content! Never heard of Dazzle Dry before your videos. I think Heart's Caress would be a beautiful color on my African American skin tone. I see you have to buy a whole system for DD. Is this system more long wearing than Dior polishes? I wash dishes frequently and I typically only get 3 days max from a manicure before chipping.

Hi Stacye, wearability _tends_ to come down to what we do with our hands and how well we take care of them. So for example, if you used gloves while doing dishes and used oil multiple times throughout the day the polish may last longer. Whereas, if you were to be doing dishes with no gloves and then not using oil at all the wear time may be less. Then there are other factors to take into consideration as well (Your natural nails themselves, application of the product, etc.). Now, personally, I have torture-tested DD quite a bit (doing dishes with no gloves, weight training, labour jobs, etc.) and it did pretty well. If I was really hard on my hands I'd get 5-_ish_ days with no chips. Being super nice to my hands I've got 10-12 days. It all depends though. I hope that helps. Thanks! - MSL

Maybe it’s just my monitor but some of those look the same. So I’m surprised there isn’t more variety in the top sellers. There isn’t a true nude or a real red. The 4 light ones are similar. I’m not familiar with the entire line so I don’t know there is to choose from! Lol of all the ones you used in this video I like the lighter medium mauve and the grey the best. Anna, DD offers a ridge filler called ‘Transform’, but I’ve never seen you use it in a mani on your channel. Seems like Mt Ridgemore would be an ideal candidate :) I’ve just purchased a bottle but haven’t used it yet. Maybe I’ve missed you mentioning it in your videos. Thoughts?

Hi Jessica! Yes there is :). I think I have few watch me work using them, probably on Patreon. The truth is that my clients didn’t really feel that they needed it. Their slight ridges in their nails didn’t bother them. I did try it on few people but they didn’t feel that the extra time and extra cost is really worth it. Just honest opinion. There are many people who love it too. Maybe it’s better in DIY setting when people have time to dry the nails in between the coats and they don’t mind the extra time. I’m very curious what you think about it. :))

And you’re right - more nudes - cuz they have to match the person. So many nudes just don’t compliment my skin tone - I’m of mixed background Asian + European + a skosh of black so my hands are the color of a brown paper sack, sort of. Try matching a nude to compliment that color. It’s kind of tough.

I am surprised rapid red, love, confident, femme fatale, not quite nude and cashmere taupe and fantasy cherry parfait Aztec blue starry eyed, Starstruck and pretty things should have made it. Also, love secret, tweet me, more lotion please, scarlet desire and seduction and peacefully me should have made it. other then prima ballerina, boss, less is mauve white light and at first blush are the colors I liked I am not a fan of the other colors you mentioned here because they don’t flatter my skin tone because I have tried them and sold them.
