I have to say, especially for a low budget animated film, the animation is really pretty good, and I really like the character designs. It seems like a bunch of interesting characters that are just totally wasted with horrible writing.
@fluffsquirrel Жыл бұрын
The character designs and animation were the best part. It almost seemed like the writers and directors kept getting into arguments and suggesting stupid ideas without any feedback. It's like they threw too much money into getting the best of the best, and lacked management skills.

I worked at an electronics store and every single TV had the DVD for THIS movie in playing on repeat, nonstop, just... left on the title screen. That went on for 8 months. 8 months, every single day that I worked there, dozens of times a day. Seeing you tear into it was so cathartic for me.
@fluffsquirrel Жыл бұрын
Was there some kind of contract that the film advertisers had with your electronics store, do you know?
@erysecret Жыл бұрын
@@fluffsquirrel no contract. It was just that they were lazy and the department manager needed something to display on the screen for people to watch, so I guess they figured, the Nut 2 since it was a cheapo movie and could easily be written off. When they use store products even for promotional reasons they need to write down the cost of things, so instead of using like 5 copies of a pokemon movie worth ,$20 they'll just use 5 copies of the Nut 2 that are worth $2 a piece Makes their department save more money that way

@fluffsquirrel Жыл бұрын
@@firepuppies4086 It's a fact. The issue lies with the lack-of-thought action sequences thought up by the writers versus the actual animations (which at times seemed to have exceptional motion-prediction), leading to inconsistent physics. There are movies who managed to consider a lot more physical interaction but I guess those required a higher budget, cause money makes perfection apparently! Anyway, yeah it is somewhat petty, but we should voice our frustrations so that future production managers know what to look for when they assemble their teams. Bad publicity will discourage them from using cheap bad methods (hopefully). That being said, have a good one and thanks for the reply!

I'd say I'm surprised they didnt go for that, could have done the usual 'leader gets too full of himself and falls' cliché as the squirrel gets the spotlight, but maybe they were afraid to show a way to actually conserve land...

It's a worst sequel ever made. They took main character and put in his skin another character who he hated in the first movie. There was a stupid incompetent and self-confident squirrel named Grayson, and now Surly acts just like him. Surly was unsociable loner who didn't want to be a hero and a leader, and at the end of the first movie he returned to his lonely life in an alley.

I love how it would make no sense for a city to just rip up its Central Park. The property value the parks add to the surrounding properties and business is what makes the properties and business attractive and valuable. Remove the park, deprecate the value. The property would have no more value than any other boring block in a city. There some other human health benefits parks add that go beyond the basic good for the environment shit but I won’t get into that right now. It’s also expensive to then create a new park. So idk why a planner or “mayor” would want to go out of there way for development when it be more beneficial and profitable to push development else where. Does more for be city to redevelop unused lots, abandoned buildings or sadly even relocate people because an area isn’t working at its full potential than rip up the park that is adding value.
