DB BR103 Locomotive Tutorial on Linke Rheinstrecke - How to drive the original ICE

The DB BR103 is the original Inter City Express ICE locomotive which hauled the ICE trains before the modern purpose built machines. The 103 has a unique feature Trafoumschaltung (transformer switch) which gives the locomotive a big kick in the pants in the power department. Use it wisely though or you'll pop your breaker.

I showed them on my stream yesterday. Approx 1.5 hours for stopping RE services, similar for some freight and 1 hour for EC and IC services

They're the ones that come with it they are IC coaches in a White-Red-Pink livery and the loco in the TEE(Trans-Europ-Express) livery

You can only turn on PZB at one end of the BR103

ok, general consensus is that there isn't a way to change it and that it always runs in 'O' (passenger). I will chase some people on this as the IRL loco does have all modes.

@@trainsimulatordriver On my PS4 I don't see the passenger cars lights on. Same with the lights of the passenger cars of the ALP -46 NJT 😕
