DB Killer VS No DB Killer - Ktm 690 Duke - Akrapovic Exhaust

There's a bolt on the wheel-side of the exhaust. Just take off the rubber cap an loosen the bolt. It may take some force because it may have been welded to the exhaust (just a little welding-point). After taking out this bolt, now you can pull out the db-killer. Best way to do it is to take off the exhaust completely and to insert a piece of wood from the other side. Like that, you can tap on the db-killer and it will fall out without taking damage. The original db-killer is 38mm and there is a 40mm one which fits too. I put this one in so you have a bit more sound but it's not as lous as without it.

Alle die Wissen wollen wie er raus geht: Man muss die vergossene Schraube von innen (hinter der schwarzen Kappe) am DB Killer rausbohren. Ist ziemlich hartes Metall. Also einen scharfen Bohrer verwenden.

Christian Bitter hallo. Kann Mann dann wieder eine Schraube reinschrauben oder ist das Gewinde so kaputt das es nicht geht. Und weißt du zufällig noch welche Größe der Bohrer hatte.

@@Patrick-xd1ck Du mußt genau in der Mitte der Schraube einen Körnerpunkt setzen ,dann habe ich mit einem 1.5 mm Cobalt Bohrer ca 3mm tief gebohrt ,anschließend mit 3mm nachgebohrt und dann etwas mit einem Torx Schraubendreher oder Linksausdreher geprokelt ,schon hatte ich das Gebrösel welches den Innensechskant blockiert entfernt.Du kannst dann mit einem 5mm Inbuschlüssel die Schraube ausdrehen ,knackt 1 Mal kurz wenn der Schweispunkt bricht.Anschließend kannst du den Killer entfernen,ist mir persönlich aber zu laut .Habe mir einen 40mm Killer eingebaut das ist ein guter Kompromiss.Wenn du es so machst kannst du die Schraube wieder verwenden ,ist eine 6mm Schraube die aber nicht länger als 7 mm sein sollte

Optional einfach die Nieten am Karbondeckel aufbohren, die verschweißte Schraube innen entfernen und wieder alles zusammennieten. Bei meinem Akra hatte die Schraube einen runden Kopf also schwer überhaupt nur einen Bohrer anzusetzen. Mit den passenden Nieten schaut es nachher wieder aus wie Original. Ich würde anraten auf eBay einen größeren db Killer zu kaufen, so ganz ohne klingt zwar mega aber fällt durchaus leicht auf.
