I actually saw one of the E103's at 5:30 in active service while travelling from Calais to Interlaken on a school trip in 1975. The trip took us through Basle which is very near the German border so obviously had German trains running there. As we pulled in, I looked up and there it was! It was the highlight of the entire journey 😀

3:19 that is called X-Wagen S-Bahn Nürnberg written on the Sides. Locomotives designed for it are DB BR146.0 146.2 146.1 146.5 (160 kmh max speed 100 mph) and former East Germany DR BR243 Post 3 October 1990 DB BR143 120 kmh Max Speed (75 mph) during the early days of Nuremberg S-Bahn X-wagen has White and Orange stripes also seen in the video.

Thanks David, that cream model loco with the rounded nose is the DB class 103. I was lucky enough to be hauled by one on a trip from Munich to Berlin in the 80's (or at least for part of journey). They will always be my favourite DB locomotive, streamlined, handsome and immensely poweful (7.4kw or almost 10,000hp). That is a lucky find indeed.

I think you must mean 7.4 meggawatt. With 7.4kw you could only boil a hand full of kettles!

The "old double decker train" at 4:47 says it is a Schnellverkehr, which means "fast transport".

a lot of these trains are currently not in the outdoor area anymore, I've just visited today...I think because they lack staff.

I’m not sure the M-Bahn vehicle is in Koblenz. The one that was in the museum in Nürnberg is, last I heard, in the Oldtimer-Museum Rügen, which is about as far north east as you can get in Germany. The first experimental vehicle for the M-Bahn is in the Depot für Kommunalverkehr in Berlin, but that is only open at weekends in September. It’s well worth a visit though.

The staff at Nuremberg told me it was in Koblenz 🤷‍♂️.

The TEE train definitely is, but you can see the M-Bahn on the Oldtimer-Museum’s website. Scroll down to the first two pictures underneath the map. oldtimer-museum-ruegen.de - the second picture shows the number 06, which matches the one that was at Nürnberg. So, I think the staff there are mistaken.
