Great idea to do these Mike - really enjoyed it BUT... you never covered any examples from the first 5 years of production - namely all the 450bhp models that are available in sizeable numbers. I know I am not alone in hoping you will give us your wisdom and knowledge on these - so, I'm looking forward to when you cover these in a future video! :) PS: roughly what does it cost to upgrade a 'stock' 450bhp to 530bhp?

Great video Mike. I presume your view would be to still do a pre purchase inspection even if buying from a franchised dealer with timeless. Maybe a topic for a future QoW.

Dear Sir, would you be so kind to enlighten me about the Sportpakkage on a DB9? Which years was it available? How can I quickly recognize, as a non mechanic, that the car is a genuine one? Could a Virage have it? Thank you. Best regards Charles

Lots of cars at the lower end of the market. Do you consider £40k the correct or realistic starting point? I’ve looked at the Maundrells example for instance, at just under £30k, and seems to represent a LOT of car for the money.

I’ve seen them as low as £23k from dealers which slightly confuses me. I suppose if the dealer would allow a proper inspection or even just the engine tick test I can’t see what there is to worry about.

Thanks for your walk through on the DB9's - I've got a lovely low mileage 2010 Volante, but after 18 months I wish I'd bought a DBS - question is, is it worth spending the money to upgrade my current 470bhp and retrofit suspension etc to an almost like DBS spec, or trade it in - and bite the £40k price bullet for a proper DBS?

Hello keep up the nice work,you just some times give me a scare about buying one of these beauty's. Interested in Vanquish Volante 2013 six speed auto,but saw your video about the ceramics wich scares me off.Breakfaillure at high speeds?worst nightmere. Anny advice?

No mention of DB9 GT.. in my view and according to the AM definitive DB9 guide, the ultimate DB9 withe the looks and more updated kit than the DBS plus at 540BHP 30 more BHP. Having had a 2005 and a 2009 DB9 looked for a DBS and choice was a 2010 DBS Volante with 10k miles in grey for 130k but found a 2016 DB9 GT Volante in Volcano Red with 10k miles for 95k.

Ahh mate, for once I disagree, sorry. The DB9 GT was de-tuned to 540bhp, not 510bhp like the DBS or previous DB9s. Would choose a DB9 GT over a DBS every day of the week.
