How's it going folks! Man this rack system was a disaster 😅 after seeing all the things that have gone wrong I know the go around when we build one we can get it right!

6:13 pre drill your holesl, with a drill bit just a size or 2 smaller then what type of screw you are using.

So I ended up stumbling onto your channel and I have to say, I love it. I really enjoy how you are real about literally everything. The frustrations, mistakes, product things you like and don't like, and not to mention all the other positive and amazing content you make! Glad I found the channel! Keep it up!

Hey man, great idea on the rack system. I've had quite a few trials and even more errors when it comes to carpentry but I kinda have jt figured out now. The best advice is pre-drill your holes for your screws. And I would recommend using 2x4s going front to back on your upright 2x4s. One one each end and you screw your shelf to that. It's way easier either two people once you're at the point of screwing the bottom shelf on at first but once that's done is easy af.

That's what I've found. The first screw is the hardest without someone holding it up 😂

Love it man, great content! I feel you mix humor well with education and it makes your channel a treat to watch. You inspired me to get into tokays and I have loved the little demons since.

Definitely cut yourself some slack, I feel like rack systems are one of those things that LOOK easy but the things that NEED to be right for it to be a working rack system are going to make it really difficult to make! I appreciate seeing the attempt, and I’m sure the next when will be better! 😤

Tongue depressors, or popsicle sticks, would work as a spacers.

Ok so let me help you out because I am In construction so I can make this easier for you first use 1x3 would for the side it will hold and look better also for the broads use 3/4 material it will keep it shape longer and won’t sag with time third buy metal washers they are usually a 1/8 inch thick so it will give you the best spacing lastly but the top broad first then build it upside down it makes it easier to get the spacing plus you end up with feet to stand it with I hope it helps

Use a piece of cardboard on top of your tubs as a spacer. It's what I used and works.

Use L brackets rather than trying to hit the plywood.

Dakotah NO!! You don't have to redo anything dear... Simply take a hot clothes iron and simply glide it along the top edge of the tight bins and that will easily melt down the edge so that it slides better!! Work smarter not harder, my boy 👍
