DBFZ Broly(DBz) version 1.33 combos

Thanks for watching. If you enjoyed, a like is appreciated. Thoughts: This is the "everyone kills on any hit patch.", but damn if it isn't fun. Careful with ki blast routes, btw. Less than 3 nerfs your damage, but too many will drop your combo.

I feel like this char is understated this patch. Giving z bully the ability to easily 2 touch is wild to me. Combo routes dont seem like much across the board, because so many people got new stuff, but that buff to Z Broly was a much bigger game changer than other chars, imo.

I think it's pretty reasonable this late into the game. They didn't need to give him everything but they did give him a lot. I think the only unreasonable thing is if you were gunna give him the 2H combos why give him the 236S smash stuff cause it seems redundant. Smashless orb loops I'm not mad about since they're corner only.

236S smahs combos are important to him because they let him be a threat with orb in his frame trap mix. Bfore, he was forced to use meter or assist to get anything threatening in his frame trap spots. Now he can do it meterlessly.

I mean I'm not necessarily against that. Tbh not against any of the buffs he got (you could argue he didn't need solo confirms off EX lariat but tbh I'm with characters being able to spend half a bar for damage like that. Unless a character can build the bar themselves I don't think a character should HAVE to vanish for damage especially off air to airs. But for EX tackle I definitely can give it a pass. I say we lean into this heavy buffs then take time to shave the excess off the top. A big example is toning down Blue Vegeta 236S damage. His combos are fine but since he can use it so freely now, they may as well tone it back. 8K off a medium is crazy.

great guide dude! for practical reasons, would you agree that in most combos, going 5LLL > jLLjcLL > j214M is not that far off in terms of damage from 5L(dl)L > (dl)2M (dl)5M > jLLjcLL > j214M?

For the most part, yeah they're basicaly the same. It's just a matter of what side you want to throw them to since the damage and meter are so simialr. But most combos also on't have the extra stun for the 5LL's, so you have to change your combo before or after that in some way to get the j214M. The vid only does 2 ground hits after animation J5H because of the stun issue.
