I had to slow it down to half speed to really see it well, but at 3:27 Cloud scoots forward super slightly. It puts him at the perfect range to do one dash forward and be out of Sparking hitbox, but still in range for his command grab. These guys are crazy.

Yeah I agree. Cloud got hit a lot but pressure after vanish, which shouldn't really happen. If you block vanish you should really shouldn't get hit afterwards. Either 5H or 2H and beat them trying to extend pressure or just block. Shouldn't mash anything else then, as it's like +0 or slightly + on block.

Xjeeep because once you get to a certain level pretty much you're reacting to all of those options. Most people just meaty everything now so vanishing is pretty pointless it's just not worth it because if either of those options get baited then well you're eating anywhere between 40 to 60% Life. Why? Because you weren't patient enough in neautral? It's not worth it nowadays.

Griffith i mean ive seen them super dash sometimes but yeah that sums it up. for.me personally after watching them play and being list in the lab for a month, it lead to just finding frame trap set ups for pressure so all those options are constantly shut down. makes the game into 50 50 imo

Tyler Calvo there is really to go all the way to seven just one or two levels are efficient enough for Gohan to do some damage

The only thing Gohan really gets out of level 7 (other than the increased damage per strike) is the ability to link moves that normally wouldn't combo into each other normally for stronger combos. People who use the move to reach levels 3-6 are usually only using the move to knock the opponent into the air so that they are off the floor and then could get stringed into another combo and then get a slight buff from it. It's not really super useful (to go Maximum Potential) since you could achieve the same/more damage out of assists than just putting all your ki into him and then possibly losing him early (usually 2-3 combos is enough to take down a character). Honestly, the design of potential could use a re-work. Levels 3-6 are just not significant other than giving you an extra 14 damage to all attacks per level, and the final result of powering up Gohan to 7 is just too unreliable in an actual game to activate.

iirc the drawback of gohan lv7 is that you can't use vanish as gohan anymore, sure it makes your corner combo and pressure scary but you also sacrificing mid screen link.

ok yeah yeah pros are cool and all but i'm getting really sick of ALWAYS seeing Goku black, adult gohan, cell, goku blue, vegeta blue, hit, I mean seriously if you just had these characters in the game, no one would care cause all this game is. This has got to be the worst game in terms character versatility. Very little people use Piccolo, Gotenks, Fat Buu, Krillin, I mean come on!

jacob maertens all games are like that on a professional level look at mvc2 that game had hella characters but you see magneto, doom, tron bonne, sentinel ,cable storm , etc that's just how anything professional is , you use the best to be the best

It sucks but that’s how the game is sadly, tekken has the best balance across the board when it comes to characters. In this if they have a bad assist and bad moves as well they’re useless. Just havin a good assist puts you in a high tier lol.

I use gotenks..I'm no pro but dam does he get people on tilt cause they don't know his strings. With that said..hes simply just not as good(many attributes go into what makes a character good) as say goku b.
