Despite the loss of push blocks reflecting projectiles meant for pressure can work essentially like a dead angle attack. since projectiles are used so frequently for pressure this is pretty good. The big difference here is that it can also be baited.

I did not know that! I think this is so clever. Pushblocking seems like too much of a no brainer when its easy, meterless, and unpunishable. dbfz teams seem way more balanced and less structured (a "mps" team will eventually appear I'm sure), all thanks to limiting assists. And the fixed assists seem balanced because brainless pushblocks are gone.

Genryusin if your on namek, and you start with frieza and someone starts with goku, it shows frieza killing krillin and holy raging as the intro. Also, if you destroy the environment and win as goku, they play the cinematic of you flying away and goku killing frieza. Shit is amazing

Apparently at high level play nobody doesn't even bother using essentially this games version of a grab even when they're blocking. It's a super good move and in alot of these I just see the guy getting blocked chained would be a good opportunity to just grab and toss him in the air rather then just hitting his block like what's he gonna do? Stop blocking and get hit by assist anyways?

Super Jae Thrillz obviously, but other lvl 3’s do about 35-40% damage unscaled it looks like, his damage output seems ridiculous for his lvl 3 w/o extra meter burn. If his lvl 3 is a command grab & can be considered a reversal too in pressure, that’s crazy good

yo I need someone who knows how to play to answer this question. How do I chain kid buus air combo? I find it harder to chain compared to other characters. e.g let's say I do a 2H into Chase then in the air I do Light, Medium, jump cancel, the next light i press never seems to connect

God oh I see thnx but even with teen gohan and goku I went to the tutorial mode and even with Krillin I could do it consistently but when I go online with by it misses. I'm guessing it might have to do with the fact that buu has 2 hits on his Medium attack cuz he pulls himself in and then he hits. I'll try cancelling before the pull and after the pull to see which works better

Most characters air chains are different when it comes to how high their jumping normals will push the opponent, their are some characters where j.l, j.m, j.l won't work. That string is just the most consistent for buu specifically. Also j.m doesn't hit twice point blank, only when there is distance between you and the opponent. Same with st.m.

Marcelo Soriano Meh, you can regain it with blue health and the range on that thing is terrible. You can avoid it by jumping. However, you are screwed if you get caught with lest than 50 percent health

Meters are just game mechanics. Game mechanics =/= cannon. Same reason why you can have a team of Kid Gohan, Gohan and Cell fighting along side each other. That makes absolutely 0 sense either.

Idk how he's bad. His normals are what make him really strong. His down medium is one of the best moves in the game. Think of his orbs as another extension of the character

You can use his orbs to do additional combos, in this video you see him use the multi orbs spam and tp and send his opponent into all the orbs

I don't know. To me he just feels bad. His normals are fine though all predictable and punishable on block, with his normal strings being fucking readable trash that best serve to mixup players that have never seen them before. His air and combo game are both awful (sonic doesn't do a single non-blue one that looks good) and he has trouble doing much of anything. To top it off his slow-ass projectiles only serve to benefit him when he's in an advantage state since they literally delete themselves if he so much as blocks an attack. Not only that but they can be dashed through like any standard projectile so it's not hard to get him to block and make all his hard work and setup pointless. He feels like a bunch of ideas that the devs were too scared of making broken. If you want good normals, play Cell, Adult Gohan, piccolo and goku. If you want oppressive and weird zoning tools play vegeta, piccolo, kid buu, and krillin. I don't know. He just feels too outclassed in every field he feels like he was designed for.

So.. i know alot of people have their opinions on auto combos, ill be doing a video on my overall impressions of the game but what i will say is. the auto combo feature does make it easy for complete noobs to stand a against good/ competitive players. i do feel they should fix how auto combos work. me personally i have a solution for that. they shouldnt remove them.. its a good thing for this game, because the auto combo function is a completely different combo in itself compared to L,M,H. However, the execution could be better their for promoting players to actually think more on how to approach their opponent instead of just mashing square.... lol. auto combos for this game works. its just not executed right imo.

From what I felt playing the game, this looks a lot like Marvel, but it feels much more like Guilty Gear. (I've played the three games, umvc3, gg and dbfz) Footnote: I might be wrong, but I think the success of Marvel in the west and the lack of thereof in the east is more closely related to the fact that Marvel is much more popular in the west than it is in the east.
