How does he lack mix? This just makes his mix better. he has arguably the fastest/best 2m in the game, a command grab, 2l, a rekka that can quickly be turned into an overhead as the 2nd hit if you use the ex version, his clones give a 50/50 if you use a specific assist, he’s got a really good IAD Into JM. in my opinion he’s got decent mix

reaper 5589 command grab slow, ex rekka loses skd so I don’t see much of it besides closing in on an opponent, 2l is 11 frames dude....., his clones have TOO much recovery, it has start up and landing its trash 😂😂, iAd is whatever every character can iAd, he’s gotten pretty strong, but not top tier, he will struggle to open ppl up

And the scaling sucks? No that command grab isnt that great, his clones aren’t that good for mix u can see the clones dropping or wherever they go it’s really slow

Light DP. You can do it with light DP's because they aren't invincible frame one so they don't see it as a problem cause you can't really use those on wake up or in gaps to get out of pressure.

Before the nerds he was the most played charter the only ones that could argue is gt and bardock but still ssj Goku could fit on literally every team. If he was as good as he was then everyone would play him right now.

@@spiralanimations7736 Everyone wouldn't play him. Him being one of the most popular characters is understandable. He's literally the face of the franchise and a chracter perfect for beginners. He had one of, if not the best assist until GT rolled around and considering the only options for straight beams were him and Goku Black it's no surprise who was chosen between them. GT came around and double beam became a thing which shot up his usage even more. He was also a dedicated anchor in a game where dedicated anchors are in short supply. Now there are 4 characters besides Goku with a straight beam and they are all better than Goku except Goku Black. There are quite a couple C Assist beams as well. The biggest reason to pick him (the beam) is now all over the place. His usage was going to go down period. Then they nerfed him when he didn't need it which just made him way more unattractive compared to his competition.

Like seriously, if you don't know about a topic dont talk about it like you do. 6K of my 9K matches are with SS Goku, so I can tell you why he used to be good and why he no longer is. The reason SS Goku was so popular was because his assist was amazing and he was a good character. In fact the only other character with that assist was pretty bad But NOW, there are so many characters with the same assist or similar assists(including Roshi now), even if he was completely reverted he wouldn't be half as popular solely due to the fact that teams that need a good character with a beam no longer have to choose him specifically.
