@@armysunicorn9630 Obviously it doesn't say it outright in the games, but there are little hints at the possibility. In one scene, Hank calls Connor son. If Connor dies repeatedly, Hank will tell him that each time he died, it reminded him of his son. Plus the fact that Hank really tries to guide Connor in the right direction, because, in the beginning, he's naïve and incapable of seeing past his programming. Maybe they could never be close enough to the point where they would call each other father and son, but Hank definitely does act somewhat fatherly towards Connor.

I think the fandom should've just settled down (when the game came out) about what their relationship is. The game ended with them being friends. Not lovers, and not family either. Because as long as the developers didn't specify their relationship, people can think and prefer whatever they want. So it's not a very nice thing to say that they should stop just because YOU think that they are father/son figures, not to mention that it's not even a proven fact. While the game does give hints about their relationship as in Hanks reactions to Connors deaths, nothing is a proven fact, so as long as they are both 18+ I really don't see a problem with this ship. I mean, there are much worse ships in other fandoms, take Severus Snape x Harry Potter for an example. It's first of all underage, disgusting, and not to mention the unhealthy obsession Snape harboured for Harry's mother. Or worse, Voldemort/Tom Riddle x Harry Potter, as if Voldemort didn't spend his entire life trying to kill him and the people Harry loved. So Connor and Hank is a very mild ship compared to this.
