Those DBK boys really know their stuff. Theyre young but they do know knives from what ive seen.
@DL-ij7tf2 жыл бұрын
I mean they're sort of young, they're around 30 I think. It's not like age brings knife wisdom, most old people don't know shit about knives.
@holdernewtshesrearin54712 жыл бұрын
@@DL-ij7tf - im referring to their tenure as knife experts on YT, but i consider 30 young. I know despite my beliefs at the time and being a fairly intelligent guy i didnt know shat until i hit 35 and wisdom doesnt even begin until mid 50s as i understand it. The DBK guys are silly and a bit immature at times but when it comes to real world knife use, they seem remarkably knowledgeable and well versed and have since the beginning when they were quite young, perhaps late teens, early 20s.
@vagabond45762 жыл бұрын
@@holdernewtshesrearin5471 Everyone is different but experience trumps the age. Not to mention there is a lot of old people that act the same way or worse when it comes to immaturity. Not to mention they have discussed it in a podcast that they wont change their ways for anybody because they don't want to be like the other channels. It makes them unique and be themselves. They also touched on how the original videos were like others. I met your types so I know your gonna fire back. But I heard it all. I think those guys are not gonna change their attitude as they get older. Some do but I work with 45-60 year old military veterans. They act just like kids and there are those that act like you mister high and mighty I'm older therefore I am better and more mature. Don't deny it and I'm not gonna reply because I know what your gonna say and also I turn off my reply pings because I got shit to do old man. Just let my knowledge and experience that trumps most people past 30-40 years in my field wouldn't even see. Let that sink in.

I disagree. They know the theoretical part but have no extended experience with any of the steels or knives in the bush.
@holdernewtshesrearin54712 жыл бұрын
@@StevanOutdoor - I agree that I don't believe they have real, hard-core survival experience but then, most of us aren't concerned with that. We just want to know which knives are worth buying.

@jasonjohnson63442 жыл бұрын
@@shawnpepin7890 Yep, once I’d heard of em and saw them on KZbin, I ordered several. The sheaths alone are worth the money but the knives themselves are outstanding. The full tangs are my preference anyway and the quality of the handles is plenty acceptable for the price point. Outstanding value and I really recommend them for a budget conscious knife fan.

Its a beauty, almost perfect knife but in my opinion the blade aswell as the sheath has a bit to much thickness make it heavy, and bulky. Its also very pricy.
@DaveLeeKnives Жыл бұрын
I gotta say, its a perfect allrounder camp/bushcrash knife if i were to bring just one knife that can do it all. At the same time, i like to bring at least 2 plus a pocket knife so at times it feels like my other knives are better for specific chores. All in all i think its worth the money!!

For me this is a Bark River made by TRC. Produced by TRC does mean good quality but it's basically the down sized version of the TRC Bushcraft model from years ago. But a $100 more expensive of course.

I can see how u think that but in real life this one actually feels more like a Fallkniven in hand. But then again many outdoor knives are inspired by the Loveless…!
