I don’t know if you’ll see this but this is still my favorite song of all time after all these years and was the song that comforted me when I wanted to achieve a dream that took me a lot of work. In the odd chance you read this, I want to give you my express thanks for this beautiful work. I put it on my running ipod for my ruck run today. After nineteen miles with a forty pound pack, running in a foot of snow, when this song came on, it gave me the motivation to push to the end. I want to be an officer as badly as Dash wants to be a 'Bolt, and so I couldn't help but tear up just a little as well. Thank you man, and God bless.

This is still one of the greatest songs in the fandom, the emotion, story, pace.. everything just works perfectly.. I remember first hearing this years ago, as the first fan-made song from the fandom (For me) and just falling in love, also helping to introduce me to Princewhateverer, which, to this day, is a friendship I'm so glad has sparked. DB, Your music has helped me through alot, and probably countless others, and for that, I thank you. Keep on rocking man :D /)

PivotAnimator50, I don't know if this comment will ever be read by you (maybe because this freaking KZbin is updating every five minutes and I can't find a "reply to this comment" button) but this song means a lot for me too... That because my dream is to become an Air Force pilot, and join an acrobatic team (my Italian PAN (Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale)), and maybe become an astronaut. So I understand you completely. Chase your dreams everyone! I voted this at the (now voting) Pony Awards 2013, even though it was a tough decision between this and "Just Like You" by Sproket... P.S. GO VOTE PONY AWARDS 2013.

@TASDisBACK9 жыл бұрын
***** I am glad I am not the only who noticed this. I bought the entire album and thought it was great, despite the mastering being not so good.
@lbochtler9 жыл бұрын
StinkingSkunk I think it has something to do with the gear used to listen to the music, as well as master it. Im using Audiophile Reference Class equipment for remastering, as well as listening to music in general. And using that, finding errors is quite easy. Im also happy to say, that i managed to improve the sound quality a bit, but not quite to my satisfaction. Well its kind of impressive what i managed to do, considering i used the MP3 to do it. If i had the original master track, things might be different, but as it stands. Now the only thing i need to do is work out the legals of what i have done, before i can upload the remaster to KZbin. Its also cool that im not the only one to notice the errors as well.
@dbponymusic9 жыл бұрын
***** I already did a remaster to the album version that took out glaring issues. I unfortunately don't have the original session file for this track, and so for the most part this is the only version of the track you will get. Also, you have to understand that I produced this track when I had a limited knowledge of audio production. I didn't know everything that would have made this track sound better. If I were to record this track today, I can say that without a doubt it would sound 100X better. As far as you remastering the track, I don't mind you doing that for your own educational purposes, but I'd really prefer it if you didn't release it publicly. I already have the fixed track for download on my album, and I'd like for people to support the song directly. Thank you for your feedback.
@TASDisBACK9 жыл бұрын
CookieSoupMusic I must ask, would you ever consider re-recording it? I absolutely love this song but am curious as to how it would sound with how you have furthered your knowledge in audio production.
@dbponymusic9 жыл бұрын
StinkingSkunk I have thought about it. I think that if I were to do that, there would be people that would either really like it, or those who like the character of the original. That seems to always happen whenever a musician records an older track with newer production values. Either way, I have thought about it.
@MiketheBassMan11 жыл бұрын

Yes! I've been thinking just yesterday, "Where has dBPony gone?" Turns out you've been making this awesome collaboration!
