I have this model and wanted to leave it a while before commenting to see how it performed over time. I bought it just over a year ago to jump my sons Fiesta 1.4 Zetec that sits in the drive for long periods and my other boys CLK 280 Sport that basically does the same thing. It has had one full charge since I bought it and has started the Fiesta 4 times and the CLK 3 times - I got new batteries for both cars now and the starter pack has sat in the Fiesta's glove box for at least 6 months. I basically forgot I owned it and upon remembering today I retrieved it and checked the battery life that still showed 49%! I am charging it now and will store it in the garage and hope that I never have to use it again. This has been a God send in terms of the holes it has dug me and my boys out of and I think it is a marvelous thing - well worth the money!

Be good to know if it could turn over the engine with the battery out of circuit or completely dead? I noticed you had dashboard lights.

It does. I just did it on my car and it worked fine.

Thanks for the vid. I was legit confused when the instructions said Negative goes on the battery instead of a ground.

Yeah, with these new "idiot" proof car jump starters, it doesn't matter. But still becareful with the terminals, that's still 12 volts

Any idea on how long the standby time is?

I charge it once a year before Winter. And even when I charge it, it still has 90% charge left. And I put this thing in my trunk where it can be -20 out for a week in the Winter.

This model is a POS. I used mine 6 times on a lawn mower and one day it just stopped turning red/green when you plugged in the cord. Don't buy this model.

I will buy one from eBay and I am 90% sure it will not work XD

Why's that? Its very reliable.

The main reason is the price.. it cost me 15€.. the second was the rated capacity (some said 80AH, which is impossible for the price, so I chose a 15AH 20% more espensive..that looks real) the third reason is that I have an old Diesel (6 glow plugs..) with a old battery and cold weather.. but I will give it a try :)

MarCel Fonseca Garcia I have had the 600a / 1800 mah for 3 years still works fine. Once started a completely dead 2.0 diesel battery with two times charge first time couldn’t start charge down to 20% then recharged full and it turned on the engine. If the battery not completely dead it wil turn on an engine about 15 to 20 times. Specially small cars I tried too many times. I’m happy with it.

If its 2 months, you can probably return it via Amazon. Or the credit card company will give you back your money.
