This is definitely a touching series. And it's a great marketing play and story. And I'm sure other companies have benefited from DBS as well. Unfortunately during the tough times, when I reached out to DBS for an olive branch. None were extended. Instead the other banks (OCBC, Citibank and Maybank) were the ones that helped me out. And the irony is that DBS is my corporate bank. Glad that we pulled through and got flush with funds again. But you can guess when the time is right...what we most probably would do. Whether it was our RM, our RM's boss. Or perhaps just our balance sheet not worth taking a risk. It was ok for the other banks but not DBS. So "One from the heart" is sorta BS for me. The saying that they extend an umbrella when it's sunny and take it back when it rains is so apt.
