Thank you for this exercises, it helps a lot. We are all scared to damage further especially the ones with metal plates on outer side and nail&hook in inner side.

Extremely informative. I had a ruptured Achilles tendon surgery, and one I came out of the boot, started to notice pain around the ankle. I've gone to see my surgeon twice, have gotten and x-ray twice, gotten a cortisone injection. He didn't think it was a stress fracture, but either an aggravated nerve and/or PTT. The cortisone injection was about 10 days ago, and it didn't help at all. I had started PT for a few weeks with the primary goal of regaining Achilles and quelling the assumed-to-be posterior tibial tendoitis, but I could hardly do any Achilles stretching and strengthening without pain and very localized discomfort in the ankle. After examining the malleolus closer myself this evening, I noticed what seems to be a fissure or fossa that is very noticeable compared to my other medial malleouls. I think with my self exam this evening, and some info in this video, I have convinced myself I need more advanced imaging like an MRI to confirm that something bone-related is going on. Thank you for the video!

Did u ever figure it out ?

@RealityWorld302 so, interestingly, I tore my other achilles a year and half after my first one. After that repair, started having the same sensation on my PTT close to medial ankle... I've gone back to see surgeon many times, and gotten 2nd and 3rd options... no one can give me a smoking gun of why my achilles rupture surgeries have caused PTT issues. After all the Dr. Visits and my own research, I think the most likely cause is he made the achlles repairs too tight and taught, causing pressure on the PTT muscle, tendon, around the medial ankles

@@donniebowers8969 that is quite interesting. Did u tear the other one the same way ? Or completely freak occurrences ? But that’s strange how u have yet to learn the problem. Have u seen any specialist or just orthopedic surgeons ?

@@donniebowers8969 I recently broke my ankle (medial malleolus) but had more pain in my lateral malleolus. Due to all the tendons in the ankle I was told that I probably tore some of them because it happens often on the opposite side because of the torquing of the tendons

@RealityWorld302 tore one sprinting in a flag football game, tore the other lightly jogging away from the action in a men's league soccer game... in total I've seen two foot orthopedics and two other podiatrists

Found with KZbin search for "nondisplaced bimalleolar fracture ". I suffered this injury 3 weeks ago. I'm walking three weeks later. This video is very helpful for me. The Dr is over an hour each way, and PT would be the same. So, knowing some good, simple things I can do to speed my recovery for free online saves me a lot on co-pays and gas. 55Y/o White male.
