I remember downloading this clip from kazaa in like 2000/2001. Videos like these made me want to get involved in video editing (which i did a few years later). Today I had a few spare hours, so I put this video together following the exact edits made by seandbz, i only replaced the low quality video with 720p HD and better audio.

Thanks Akira Toriyama. This video was also one who gave me so much hype, it make me like the edit of videos. This was the golden era of media entertainment... This video is clearly history. I also remember watching it from Kazaa. Back in the days, you typed "DBZ" and it proposed you the video/file with the best notes, and it was this vid, before the movies or episodes, that's why a lot of us have watched this video. As someone said, thanks for preserving history ! It brings back so good memories...

Fun fact: There's no upscaling involved per se but what's happening is they're using already high definition footage from Funimation's library of remastered cuts and going frame by frame to replicate the original AMV.

I'm using my GF's account to post on this but Superboy I had the exact same experience! My best friend got me into DBZ around the end of the Freeza Saga and around 2000/2001 I was looking for DBZ stuff on Kazaa and I already knew the song from the Mortal Kombat movies. I stumbled upon this and I used to listen to it a lot all through 8th grade and early high school. It was one of the most hype songs of that time for me. This coincided with accidentally embarrassing " the strongest/popular guy in PE class" by lifting something quite easily when he didn't believe that I could after he had a much harder time. There were a few other videos too like Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down that was a Gohan centered AMV with clips from the Bojack movie I still haven't seen. Another one that was good was Gohan vs. Cell with Down With The Sickness by Disturbed. Goku vs. Cell to Crawling by Linkin Park. That stuff really launched me into Hard Rock and Metal. Thank you for posting this shot for shot homage! I'm going to be listening to it a lot and hopefully if it's still on teh interwebz later down the road I'll be showing my future kids this AMV..
