If you start a combo you can finish it with X (square) for a ki based finisher or Y (triangle) to recover ki at the end of the combo. Also overcharge your ki when that yellow meter is full to activate it (hold Y or triangle to charge)

Wooo, OG Dragon Ball's time to shine! Perhaps with this fantastic treat of a DLC I can hope for an entire adventure like this covering the original Dragon Ball story. 0:19 - It's standalone? As in, you could buy just this DLC without the rest of the game or simply that you can play this DLC without having started the standard Kakarot story? 1:24 - It was a simple vanish and yet your excitement is through the roof. Love to see it. They also made an entire model and move-set for a Kid Goku here just for a tutorial fight; impressive and gives me hope for more. 2:44 - "What is this?" Doto asks as he stands still directly in front of King Piccolo's charged attack. 6:20 - Kid Goku's Dragon Fist was already cool enough as it was but they managed to even more flair to it without changing it's core. So cool! 8:23 - I'm glad so many others are appreciating the style the Z-Fighters returned with for the 23rd World Tournament. A shame none of the games let you fight with the characters in these awesome attires. 10:07 - Nice that you don't have to worry about being ringed out immediately and cool that you get to play as Tien in this, given he wasn't playable in standard Kakarot. A shame they skipped the preliminaries; would be amusing to face-off against King Chappa. 12:32 - There's even a get-back up mechanic? That's so neat. I wonder if your opponents can get back up as well? 16:56 - Aww, you don't get to do the fight against Chi-Chi? That's a shame. It would have been nice to see how they would have expanded her move-set for a full on fight in this game (and her design here is amazing, so I'm always happy to see more of it). 18:46 - Likewise, a shame you don't get to play as Krillin (who should have been playable in base Kakarot as well; his prevalent appearance throughout the story makes him well suited for a playable role). They really teased us with the spot of Tien gameplay. 24:02 - Again, love your enthusiasm in these videos. The energy to this Goku vs Tien fight is amazing; they really the multi-form technique to good use here.

Doto if you keep charging while the yellow bar next to your health is full, you activate surge mode, and you get advanced combo strings you can chain super moves and if you finish a opponent with a specific type of super move you get a super finish.

What is truly amazing is that Doto figured out how to jump but Seereax went through the whole DLC without realizing that was something he could do. Saddly he doesn't figure out how to charge until the near end of the video but still doesn't know how to activate surge, so you win some, you lose some.

You can surge if you charge beyond your limit and if you don't know what a surge is surge is basically like a power up which can make you cancel super attacks into another super attack, and it plays a cool animation if you surge

I'm pretty sure it's not flashy enough. is why. it's not a beam struggle and ki blast spam storyline. if the main audience is kids now and not the adults that was kids. it's just like call of duty. you'd never know how great it actually was. krillin dying hit home. DB no doubt is waaay better story wise than dbs. so atleast we get some love right not

@@boratwilson9916 I dont know about not flashy enough, you have Oozaru Goku destroying Pilaf castle, you could have a segment of playing as Bardock leaving goku on the little space pod and sacrificing himself with the destruction of planet Vegeta, you could have Goku flying around on nimbus destroying an entire army fighting airships and mechs, fighting cyborgs while climbing a tower, you can have Goku traveling the world and training as he grows up, Roshi destroying the FUCKING MOON. You can have Tien deleting the tournament stage. There's lots of crazy setpieces. But no one has taken advantage of them.

I'm assuming you're older. but kids the days want to just spam super saiyan and big fancy ki waves and bright lights with goku acting like a toddler. I ment fancy enough for kids. little story involved. alot of glowing hair. plain and simple. ain't no kid born after the year 2000 going to want to play goku with a tail. or without vegeta. they wouldn't even remember or know unless they knew. Not to mention look how dull color wise db is compared to dbs. of they do make an actual db game hopefully it plays like legend of zelda botw it'd be nice to see Yamcha and the rest feel powerful again. And feel a little like a actual fighting Shonen instead of rapid punching and teleporting all day
