Neal Adams has said that if he had a panel to draw, and it was day, he just worked with Denny and switched it to night to darken the character of Batman for the story... Those socially relevant O'Neil/Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow books are classics!

Lovely interview with O'Neil. He's often overlooked or eclipsed by Miller but those 70s stories are pivotal and great reads.

O'neil is a legend that brought fresh ideas for his time, it is a pity that the current run of Batman, which seemed to bring us just that, a new approach, it seems directed to the same resolutions already seen in the last 20 or 30 years. Heroes don't have to be martyrs, to be well written.

For me Lobo is an ally and yes he is an anti-hero. Mercenary for hire and if the Young Justice or the Justice League have to go off the books he is the guy to hire to get the job done for the right price. For me Superman: The Animated Series version of Lobo from Main Man Parts 1 and 2 with Brad Garrett voicing him was perfect.

What a horrible thing to say. Denny O'Neil was great. He wrote or edited alot what WAS great about DC comics of yesteryear. In is insulting to him and his legacy to the his good name with the garbage you all produce today.

More insulting is, people realized all he did for Batman until the day he died, which is not just insulting, but extremely oportunistic. Sadly, as long as people lose their minds over Frank Miller or Christopher Nolan, Denny O'Neil will continue to be overshadowed.
