Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

The elbows on Doomsday don't articulate well because the hinges are on the wrong side of the arms...they move left to right instead of front to back...I just noticed it on my figure. I don't know how DC Icons messed it up.

Funny that they added a thigh swivel for the final figure. I would have picked it up had they not canned the Icons line. As for Essentials, not going to buy into it until DCC actually releases several figures that just aren't the same ones they already did in Icons. I want to see a Jonah Hex, Spectre, Question, Ra's, Captain Cold, Mirror Master, The Shade, the New Teen Titans, and Trigon before I support it.

Legends by far dude. I think that Icons generally have better paint applications and sculpts (there are some exceptions of course), but the articulation leaves a bit to be desired and there just aren’t enough characters available for deep display options.

You're confusing everyone about the DC Essentials Shart! I also thought they were going to be a 7 inch line not a 6 inch line and that's why I actually liked the DC Icons line because I buy my son a ton of Marvel Legends but of course he wants awesome DC characters too he especially loves The Flash but having a 7 inch Flash next to a 6 inch Captain America looks too weird since he loves just playing with random characters and in my head it's cool cuz it reminds me of what if scenarios back in the day when comics came out or Wizard had their DC vs Marvel matchups like Hulk vs Superman and Batman vs Cap. And yea I agree that the articulation on ML is superior but Icons was killing it on paint apps and sculpting since ML seems to be getting lazy and reusing the same mold over and over again BUCKY CAP FOR EVERYONE! Lol and yea the first Icons wave was just a lil bit short but it seems they realized that and started beefing up the line just a tad which was perfect especially with the rebirth line and that rebirth Batman next to the first Batman wow! And if it's true since I see so many statements about it I don't know why they are gonna end the Icons line...? I think they're the best to matchup and at least compete with ML am I wrong? Is there any other DC "affordable" 6 inch line that I've missed? And to be honest why does DC continue to dwell on 7 inch figures like in my head sometimes I think they do it on purpose yea I know this sounds weird but are they just like evil laughing to themselves like "bwahaha 7 inch Aquaman is better than 6 inch Namor because he's bigger!"... Like bro can't you just see how awesome 6 inch ML are and say well let's make awesome 6 inch DC toys which is what I honestly thought they finally decided to do with Icons but now they are quitting and going back to 7 inch with Essentials?????? Cmon maaaaan really? Hopefully I'm wrong so please help and clarify with anything that you can or what you know and even with what the best 6 inch line from DC you think is. Marvel Legends' current DC figure counterpart is DC Multiverse, but eh, they kinda suck. I like DC Icons but they're slightly too small compared to Legends, but it seems like they've upscaled their recent Icons figures a bit so that they would fit in to scale with other 6" figure lines, which is great. But unfortunately, I believe DC Icons is coming to an end, if they've not ended already. I'm really excited for DC Essentials, but I really really wish they will be 6 inches in scale so that Marvel Legends will finally have a solid DC figure counterpart. If they do end up being 7 inches, then that'll be unfortunate, but at least they MIGHT fit in to scale with Marvel Select figures.

Seems like a no-brainer but warm up those ankle and elbow joints and you’ll get the ankle pivot and ability to pose him in a pec flex or nice uppercut. I just stuck Doomsday in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes and he was much less stiff. Same shit you should be doing for your NECA figures.
