DC leaders pledge to focus on nearby alley after shooting injured Dunbar High students

The leader of DC Public Schools (DCPS) said Monday that officers are stepping up efforts to get kids off the streets and into school after a shooting outside Dunbar High School injured two students on Friday, May 3.
D.C.’s mayor also pledged to look into complaints that teens have been allowed to hang out in an alley near the school and cause trouble, a problem neighbors said dates back well before Friday’s shootout near the alley.
