I might be in the minority, but I think soft goods capes without bendy wire are worse than plastic capes. So, I’m more so looking forward to the 3 Jokers Batman. Great review as always!

it depends on how intrusive the plastic cape is. I remember some of the older Toy Biz figures having some very annoying plastic capes.

Personally i think plastic cape suck. Often they're sculpted in a very non-dynamic way wich sucks for both posing and play.

Yes ur in the absolute minority, posing cloth capes without bendy wires is impossible, just like thick heavy plastic capes

This is a new body but we will see it again for the Three Jokers Batman. Also at this point we have a good idea of the bodies for these figures. Familiar joints and articulation. I think around Flashpoint Batman and Infected Superman, they just sorta figured out a general body. Now if they could work on scaling within the line, Torso articulation, improved cuts on the elbows/knees, accessories, hands, and head sculpts for non Batman characters......that would be appreciated.

I think that figure was better than a lot of folks gave it credit for. I have a vid on my channel that I think shows off the articulation fairly well. That aside, I’d love another spawn with cape options like this.

Had the signed one ordered, target took a dump on it and ended up with the unsigned one. Emailed both McFarlane and Target and they replied and blamed each other. Great customer service there.

VERY salty that my Signed version was canceled by Target, but what are you going to do. Still excited for this figure. On a side note, did you try porting the blue Detective Comics figure into the cape? Wonder if its possible so you can display both the cloth caped version and the plastic cape base with different bodies.

If they just made the cape sufficiently wired you could achieve a similar pose without all the extra plastic. I don’t understand why McFarlane just doesn’t make PVC statues. It’s like he begrudgingly adds articulation.

I've had it! This thing says everything I want to say about the toy line. Firstly Batman secondly no effort to make the figure better articulated just throw loads of plastics in there to make people think it's cooler than it is! If it's the intention of toy companies in 2021 to lose half the collector community they're doing a fine job.. Hasbro are bumping up there price to give you old tired moulds that have a bit of fresh paint and a fancy card. It's ridiculous and this is the reason so many of us are getting out...

The fact that they totally got the boots wrong on this figure boggles my mind. They got the boots correct on every other Batman figure they've done, but not this $50 one. Crazy. But like almost everyone else my Target pre-orders were unceremoniously cancelled, so I really don't care anymore. Nice review though. It seems like the only people who actually got one of these things are KZbin reviewers that were sent "free samples". And it seems like almost everyone on KZbin that ever reviewed an action was on that list. Nice job McFarlane. Screw over your paying customers and then send out a bunch of freebies to show everyone who was willing to pay for them what they can't have. Brilliant.

I am fascinated by this but is it just me or for the price point they could not make blue pegs for this figure? I mean I know if you have opposite colors the outside one is usually the outside arm color but both sides are blue!

I've never been a huge fan of the blue and gray... I know, I know, its original...it just never made much sense to me. Not only have I never saw a blue and gray bat, but its also not very stealthy, or intimidating. Just my personal opinion tho. Sik

There's no good reason why McFarlane continues to pump out figures that can't have a forward chest crunch. Also, this Batman's head looks too small and the boot tops being straight looks bad.

It bugs the hell out of me how the boots are straight and don't come to a point. Was he drawn that way in the Year 2 story? If not and especially it being McFarlane's own artwork, that makes it am even more peculiar choice. Even still, I'll probably pose him around using the cloth cape but ultimately he will remain on a display shelf with the hard cape so should be a moot issue for me.

McFarlane needs to reign in his sculptors and stop the height increase on Batman. It's going to be a joke if this Batman is taller than Etrigan. He is already taller than most of the Superman figures. Plus for this price and this Batman not having the pointed boot tops is a petty move by McFarlane.

Sheesh... I guess I got spoiled on Mafex but this is a real let down. I knew the figure would be weak (hate the McFarlane 7" for everyone) but I can't believe the Cape is hard plastic - I thought they would have given us posable wires so you can pose it the way you wanted to. And again on that batman. Wow, they really need to go back to the drawing board and maybe take some hints from Mafex. Why are there still pins..? Why I'd there such limited neck articulation..? What's that mid section all about? This was a very disappointing Batman to me.

I bought two of these, one to open and one to keep. THEY ARE TRASH! The first one I opened, the left arm broke with almost no pressure. I didnt even start to push it into the body when it broke. The second one I heard a rattle while carrying it down stairs. The foot was broken in the box. So I decided to open it and take the arm. The right arm was broken right out of the box. What the heck. At least the left arm was good. Two out of two broken.

The arm of my figure Broke within seconds of trying to put the arms in. The arms have trouble snapping into the holes too. Like I can't get the legs in Unacceptable for a 50.00 figure so I'm Getting a full refund. Sad considering it was a beautiful figure I guess I'll get a marvel legends figure that I know will never break on me with my refund
