ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

In the whedon cut batman gets lois as a contingency to stop superman, in the snyder cut he just has faith that superman won’t murder everyone and will show up to save the day. Whedon had bad jokes but snyder’s batman is an idiot.

Batman is definitely an improvement in the Snyder Cut, he doesn’t feel like a discounted Tony Stark and he’s not a jerk to everyone like the Whedon Cut

Batman was Batman in the snyder cut. And i saw him doing about the same amount of things as his animated counterpart in the Justice League animated series. I mean, he's Batman. He has no powers and so cannot get really into the fight as the other JL members can. But he certainly was not useless, unlike his Jostice League version who's only purpose was to spout bad jokes and one-liners.

Was I happy with Batman in the movie? Heck yeah! They brought Affleck back and made him badass again. He did more than enough for me. Anything is better than: Yep, something is definitely bleeding. Batman in the JL context has always played a role more like "the voice of reason", even in the animated series. It makes sense. He's the most "human" amongst the team. If he would've done "more" it would definitely look goofy. People seem to have a very hard time considering context and how it defines the character in every incarnation.

I finally completed this set the other day. All the standard variations. I’m not particularly interested in the exclusive variants except for Darkseid with a shirt maybe? But I love this line up of figures. As a collector on a budget I appreciated finally having some really good looking figures of these guys that were within my price range. I don’t think the face is bad in Aquaman personally it’s just his hair that’s wrong. But honestly aside from some height inconsistencies these figures are pretty fantastic. Especially appreciate the black suit Superman. Course Batman is my favorite just because he’s Batman and frankly Affleck is my favorite actor to take the role at that. And I didn’t feel let down by his role in the film either, he didn’t take center stage as much as the Whedon cut version did but he felt more in character and frankly he did more important things here than in the theatrical version. I mean in the final act Batman did nothing there but in the Snyder cut he actually is the one who saves the Flash from an untimely death thanks to the parademons. Plus they made it more clear that Batman was actively keeping the parademons busy in general while Wonder Woman and Aquaman fought Steppenwolf. He wasn’t at the front of the charge but he certainly was doing stuff. Ok end of ramble comment that nobody is gonna read.

SocraticMind89 What competition? If you want dc figures, you won’t be getting them from hasbro. If they were the same scale it would benefit both companies because it would tempt collectors more to buy from both. When the scaling is off, collectors are more likely to only collect one or the other. I, as an example, will probably never buy dc multiverse figures because they’ll never look good with the marvel legends figures I already have. Marvel legends and dc multiverse do not compete at all because you either want dc figures or you want marvel figures. Unfortunately, the scaling makes it unsatisfying to have both

Fair review. You know, I love Todd McFarlane's work. I didn't get any of the figures in this wave though. I just don't like cinematic action figures, Legends or McFarlane. I find them dull, lacking vibrant colors. The likenesses almost always let me down. There's almost no shelf presence. I've got Bizarro coming in the mail tomorrow and couldn't be happier. So, you know, to each his own.
