DC had both belts at the same time! Jon will never do that. Jon should have stayed at LHW and got the HW belt at the same time. He did not need to gain that weight to do what he did against Gane. That was easy work. Too easy. No one at HW can stop a Jon Jones takedown attempt. No one!

I must admit I 100% didn't think that would happen. I confidently called Grasso to get merked by Valentina. I was surprised at Alexa's boxing hittin Valentina clean a couple times, before Valentina does what she does: adjust and start winning. No way in this universe. No. Way. No. How. Would I eeeverrr have called Alexa to even be a threat with her grappling, much less tap The Bullet. I just gooottaaaa give Alexa her props. I'm serious. New Alexa fan right here. I'm sooooo shocked and proud for her, and I gotta admit...with 40% of my family being in Brazil and another 8% scattered throughout EVERY country in Latin America including Guerreiro and Vera Cruz in Mexico and of course everywhere in The Caribbeans...I did for real feel a surge of family pride. Alexa also made another strong argument for the new class of MMA heads rising in the last 3 years. But. Despite RC's argument making a lot of sense, and I could clearly see his points and wouldn't be mad if Alexa won again. At all. I still am calling Valentina for the rematch. Valentina was winning last match, will sharpen her boxing, kick more to the knee and low leg, be prepared for the southpaw Alexa, and will be obsessed with winning. I would love to see Valentina train her boxing with Jeff Mayweather, Tokey Hill to add that TKD like MMA focused combo kicking, Savate style, and jazz it up with Uzbekistan Olympic wrestling and a dedicated training regime with the Ruotolo Twins ( their style is similar to Valentina's and the new machine gun submission style ) because Valentina's European style isn't as good a match for the new kids as the African American style ( which incorporates all of the above ) is. Valentina needs to show that mobility, that footwork which African Americans have used to neutralize and stop that relentless Mexican pressure and KO intent, then KO the Latin pressure boxer. However. Valentina is aging. We can see it. She's still probably overall the best, but she needs to be retired before or by 36.

Yall stop hatin on DC and saying he's salty on Jones. He's not. His points about the drugs and bad behavior on your record, are dead on target. Every point resonates with most athletes in or near DC and my era. Non-athletes and kids? Not so much. If Jones has a redeeming run but WITHOUT the drugs and out of Octagon hijinx? Problem resolved. And Jones is in the right place for that. The UFC HW division isn't replete with freak athletes, so Jones should be able to break Miocic's record with "relative ease" ( nothing's anywhere near easy at that level ) and then stretch it and his other records into Earth orbit.

RC, great analysis and observation on Cyril. I also noticed that at the weight ins. When Jones and Gange were facing off. Dana was in the middle of them showing the belt off. Jones pushed Dana to the side and got up in Grange's grille. It caught Gange off guard! It appeared that Gange took a step back!!!! Anyone else catch that⁉️🤔

He can't and you can't blame him for having that mindset when his 2nd loss was a NO CONTEST for PED's: Jones is the GOAT @ LW, but beating the 2nd Tier of the HW division for the vacated HW belt is not as impressive as everyone says. What did you expect after NGANNOU beat GANE on ONE LEG? and if he beats STIPE that holds little value @ this point than when NGANNOU torched MIOCIC to take his Belt; Stipe is w/ o a Belt, is 2 years older @ 41, and has been inactive & irrelevant in those 2 years; I doubt Jones loses, but what if he does? Bottom Line is the HW Division is Garbage w/ o NGANNOU in the picture, ASPINAL on the sidelines, SERGI & BLADES, though serviceable fighters, are "fringe contenders" @ best It may not be a fact that Dana White wants the Jones storyline to grow by not bringing Frances back to possibly ruin Jones unbeaten record, but it is a FACT he plays favorites, sniffing Jones's crotch despite all of his nonsense, disliking NGANNOU, who hasn't been in any trouble, and just wanted the same chance to Box as CONOR, and his ego is so "inflated" he throws Frances under the Vegas bus & doesn't have the humility to do "proper business" & book the only fight that matters @ HW: NGANNOU vs JONES: It's a joke, but it's not a funny one, because it's pathetic.

Top 5 GOAT: 1. Jones 2. GSP 3. DJ 4. Silva 5. Aldo Saying Khabib is top 5 let alone better than Jones is absolute insanity tbh, Had he stuck around for at least a couple more title defenses then i could see an argument, But as it stands his resume isn't as impressive as his record makes it seem, Dustin, Justin, RDA & Conor are arguably the only top tier guys he's beaten. I do believe he retired just as he was entering his prime tho, So we probably didn't get to see him at his absolute best which is actually pretty crazy when you think about it.

Gane definitely got blinded by the lights. But listen, Jones was nervous too. I could see it when he was slapping himself trying to shake em before the fight. I've been around too many fighters, I know what that fear looks like. The difference, to use Jon's analogy, was he was the lion and Cyril was the cow. Jon pushed through his fear and nerves and went straight at Gane. When Gane realized Jon was walking him down he started to get overwhelmed by the fear and nerves and when Jon grabbed him he completely got taken over. By the anxiety AND by Jon. Jones forced himself to push through whatever fear he had, Gane let his crush him.

DC could very well be in the goat conversation if he started mma earlier in life. He’s already the most accomplished mma fighter of all time, and he didn’t start mma until his 30’s. And he didn't cheat, which is why he has every right to go against everyone's grain on giving Jones the GOAT title, though he was the best @ LHW; didn't look so great @ the end but he won: DC's place in history is secure; he's not obligated to respect Jones if he doesn't want to

The funny thing about Grasso winning is that she can reign for a while if she just trains wreatling more and if she adds maybe 3 more lbs of muscle to her frame to help with her strength because she is small and maybe nobody can strike with her because she was winning the standup against Valentina just using her 1 2 and her BJJ is improving very fast and she is very coachable as we have seen so hopefully we have a new champion that will keep the belt for a while.

To be honest, how could a person as physically gifted as Jon Jones NOT have sort of a god complex. He does stuff that people physically shouldn’t be able to. Of course he’s gonna be kind high off of himself. I’ve only seen on guy who was that physically dominant in a sport, yet humble and that’s the tennis player Rafael Nadal. Jon Jones can do something so difficult so easily, of course he’s gonna be a difficult person.

It’s like if Tom Brady had Lamar Jackson’s physical ability. If Jokic could physically do what Giannis can do.

@@Coa_Kralj_Coa_The_King Serbian fans like Novak because he’s a Serbian player most of them have an inferiority complex about how they’re perceived in the world. Novak is a great player in his own right. Definitely top 5 all time. But despite being about the same age as Nadal, he really didn’t come into the level we saw from post 2010 onwards until after Nadal had already had three career defining injuries and Federer had lost some of his confidence. Nadal was still a great player from 2013 on, but he missed several Majors in his prime with injuries. His movement fell of gradually and that’s the main Djokovic started to win way more constantly. Despite being top 3 and a Major contender from 2007 to 2010, he was a level below Nadal and Federer. He’s a great defender but he can’t match those guys’ top gear to create offense. He’s more of a reactive player than the are. He plays off of their level rather then creating his own. Physically Nadal at his peak was a combination of speed and physical strength we hadn’t seen. Plus he won 22 Majors in fewer appearances than Novak. He’s had more injuries and has been able to reinvent his style more than any other great player has. Federer as a pure shot maker passed the eye test in a way Novak admits that he can’t. Great player. Top 3, top 5. But his numbers come more from steadily outlasting guys. Nadal and Djokovic are capable doing that as well, but they can both take the racquet out of the opponents’ hands in a way that Novak just isn’t wired to do.
