Riverina Rails. September/October 2022

Welcome Along to a new video (at long last!). In this video we take a look at parts of the picturesque NSW Main South railway through the Riverina district, taking in Junee, Bethungra Spiral, Frampton Deviation, Cootamundra, Jindalee, Wallendbeen, Binalong, the Cullerin Ranges, and finally Breadalbane, where the line levels out again for the run across to Goulburn and down through the Southern Highlands to Sydney.
In this video we see the following rail operators:
Qube Holdings
SCT (Specialised Container Transport)
PN (Pacific National)
SSR (Southern Shorthaul Railroad)
LVR Tours (Lachlan Valley Railway)
and Rail First (ex CFCLA).
Among locos seen are the Rail First CF class GE C44aci's, featuring several scenes of them around Junee and Cootamundra. We also catch a brief glimpse of 53 year old Alco DL500B, 4497 - the last of its type in regular use outside of preservation.
Making the trip from Victoria to NSW was just so worthwhile to me, and I hope you the viewer can appreciate this end result, only cut short by only having two video camera batteries for 10 days away and no charger!!!
