CATIA V5 - Design Theory - Geometrical Sets

As a small warning, this is mostly lecture and not a lot of modeling *
Geometrical Sets - a very important tool for organizing and containing your work.
This is the first in a series on developing proper design techniques. These concepts are for the design professionals working in an industrial environment where sharing and collaboration are inevitable. Having said that, these guidelines are good for anyone at any level. I can say that from past experience, those that are new or hobbyists often feel that this is unnecessary and a waste of time...

Thanks a lot for the video (or lecture! ;)). It was simply awesome. Geometrical set is a truly a strong tool. I used to work with "Solidworks" and it didn't have such an ability; and my design tree was mostly a mess and not simply editable! Design theory in CAD-software is a very important topic, that is usually ignored!

i dont know if u say on other videos, but u can also put the sketches on the geometrical set so if u are making some modeling that's gonna need some changes in the future u can have 2 geometrical sets for the 2 different versions of your design.

Aaaaah I am going to miss the design tree and the booleans in CATIA, really unique in the industry of CAD software, no other CAD software has it the same way as CATIA
