Hundreds audition, but only a select group will secure spots in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp. DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell oversee the intense audition process and decide which hopefuls will make the team.

They weren't underestimating the cheerleaders' thought process, just saying that of course they are tired because many of them are full time students and workers, on top of having to practice for hours on end.

She also clearly made an effort to make the dance look good even though she knew it didn't fit the song. She didn't visibly act like she'd made a mistake, she just kept going, which is what you're supposed to do as a performer. So even though she messed up, they also saw that she's good at handling those mistakes when they do happen.

Wow, I didn’t realize they were actually pretty much doing the exact same dances every season. There’s one dance in here that was also featured in the follow the Leader segment of this year’s season.

Chelsey Sanderson yea they do introduce new choreo maybe about one or two pieces a season, they usually reserve those for opening or half time, but they do have staples like sexy hips and such that are just kinda like bread and butter for them which is what you will most likely see during the game while they perform on the sidelines and in the stands.

i asked once how many new dances there are a year, they said a little under half! but these girls have at least 100 dances they have to remember, so they're definitely all similar

It's a performance thing. Controlling the movement of your hair to match the style your doing. It's tricky to get it perfectly right. Some people do it noticeably great.

On game day they don’t have control over the songs that are played, so when they don’t know the song the group leaders have to pick a routine that fits (amongst all of the ones that they’ve learned all year) and the other girls go with it (its quite stressful cause they only have a handful of seconds to pick the right dance)
