Looks awesome! What do you make of the kite? I have 9m and 12m switchblades. Thinking of bigger kites to add to my quiver. I've never flown bigger than my 12 though. Want to get out in lighter winds. What size is your crazyfly board and what do you weigh? Where is this? Looks beautiful! Cheers!

Oddball I love this kite, its exactly what i was looking for in a lightwind kite and you'll be suprised that you can ride it till 20knots. I also have Switchblades 9/11 so the Contra goes very well with my quiver. In the vid i'm riding a Crazyfly Allrounder 138x43 (quick planing board) and i weight 92kg.

Daniel da Costa Thanks for the reply Daniel! Have you ever flown any if the other leading light wind kites to compare? I live in the UK so have to decide if one of these is worth the money or if I'd be better off getting another board. Hard to know what to do!

Oddball I have tested quite a few different kites including an Ozone Edge 19m and a Flysurfer 17m foil. The Contra gives a nice blend between turning speed and raw grunt, while the bar pressure is not over the top as with some lightwind kites. If you

Daniel da Costa I'm still looking and since your recommendation have again been told a 15 could be better for me. Interesting as I thought I should go as big as possible to get out in the lightest possible wind but apparently there's only a small amount of power difference between the two. Do you think I could fly the 15m on the 2015 Overdrive 1X bar that I already own without having to also buy the larger one? Wish I could demo but nobody local sells them, I'd have to buy online. Keep making the great vids, I'll be back to watch them!

***** My friend has a 15m (2014 model) which for him he prefers as it moves quicker (being smaller) and his favourite discipline is wave riding. I can tell you the small power difference between the two is enough too keep you kiting on the water when you need it and that was my aim in getting this lightwind machine as i have smaller kites in my quiver. The 1X bar will work with the Contra (I've used my 2015 Switchblade bar) BUT its not recommend by Cabrinha as the kite won't flag out totally with the bar, which would only be a concern if wind picked up suddenly. (In lightwind you won't have a problem grounding it). I hope that helps, pity you can't demo them, for me my 17m Contra has been the star performer this year ;)
