Great vlog. I use that road every Christmas driving (car) up to Chamonix. That section is my favourite part but I wouldn’t fancy it in a truck! 😂

Thank you again for this very educational video It is fantastic, because every who see this vlog can understand why a truck have to go slowly from a sttep flow. Actually everyone who drives a car motor, or even a moped should see it!

If you use the engine brake, do the brake lights turn on? In euro truck sim when I engine brake I have to also use manual brakes because when I engine break the brake light are not on and vehicles behind me dont know im slowing down.

I’m terrified of heights and if I drove down there, I’d probably poo myself. I always use my exhaust brake

Just come back from a holiday in Chamonix, I was in a car travelling down that road from Les Houches to Saint-Gervais. A scary road, and I wasn't even driving. Take the train over that viaduct, it's even worse if you don't like heights.

Excellent!!!! Certainly challenging conditions and no place for a 'she'll be right mate' attitude. If I had my time over again this is the second of two places I would most liked to have visited - the other is the Panama Canal. Intrigued by the capacity for people to 'build things' and this extends to the Millau Bridge which you showed us several videos before. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Brilliant! Driven that many times at max weight. My balls were shrinking just remembering the view down from a RHD truck. Especially at the Wall of Death. GoPro just doesn’t give the drop or the steepness of the hill any justice.

David frajours is fine both sides up or down ,but the Mont if you hit that wall its mad it will rip the trailor just loose it its mad i love freijors ,But i like parking up at chamoneux near the Hospital lots off tourist but its expensive but its beautifull .

Its a bit over dramatic "road of death", as said keep it steady and under control even if the locals do fly past, but I never tire of going the Mont Blanc route, stunning scenery regardless of time of year and a bit more involving than sat on the Autoroute on cruise control, also far easier if you have a few extra BHP for the weight and a decent retarder not an exhaust brake and , but many companies don't specify such things.

David love your blogs but us old drivers have had a good laugh at this one, that run down from the tunnel is something I have not seen in many years and it is a pussy cat compaired to what it used to be like, when you have 5 mins have a look at Mont Cenis ,now you cannot drive that anymore we used to go up and down that to avoid the Mont Blanc tunnel, maybe see if you can find a older driver who did italy runs say back in the 70's they will have a load of very true stories.

I know we're you are coming from, I had a load move on my trailer, rope and sheeted, I went over, very scary. I wasn't speeding on the roundabout, just badly loaded by another driver. Fortunately no one was hurt. 20 ton of beer all over the road, what a waste. Drive safe mate.👍
