There were two alternate endings for this episode where Patrick and Squidward get the last wish, both of which end with all of them getting eaten. Squidward wishes he never met Spongebob and Patrick hoping it would free him from the Dutchman in the process, but all it did was erase their memories. Patrick just wishes for gum, with his excuse being "Well, if we're gonna be here for eternity, we might as well have fresh breath!"
