I think this is now a good time for Checkered Past to officially move to CN’s channel to make CN themselves regain the 5pm hour time slot. Cause I can tell this might be the beginning of the end for the block as a whole, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, Checkered Past is restricted to airing only a few shows so I didn’t expect it to expand more than 2 hours. With Family Guy on its way back, they can still air Checkered Past for 2 hours. All they need to do is cut down Bob’s Burgers and American Dad airings. Hopefully Toonami Rewind isn’t completely gone and they can return the block later in January or at least bring Sailor Moon and Naruto to the main Toonami block and expand Toonami to 6am.

We need to spread the word to release the complete series of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy on DVD and Blu-Ray, and all of the Cartoon Network shows. But at least Cartoon Network has released some of the classic shows on DVD in a complete series box set.

4:04 I absolutely agree with you! Cartoon Network needs more time slots for their shows and not be overtaken by Adult Swim. Adult Swim sees to be late night programming block once again instead of being something on right after work. Plenty of Cartoon Network shows are enjoyed by adults and they would prefer to have those shows on after work. I personally enjoy coming home and watching Checkered Past.

Great🤦🏾‍♂️, they kept removing shows from max to now not even let them be shown for 2 hrs. I remembered when I was first excited that CN is bringing in checkered past as a new block line up to be a new home for their hit classics now it’s like it doesn’t even matter to them anymore, it’s literally the one place where you can watch a variety of shows that DOESN’T get air time like they used to. Hell I was one of those fans that wanted different shows like Samurai Jack, Knd, flapjack, generator rex or even xaolin showdown to be part of it.

Checkered Past was a good idea and I liked it… but they didn’t add more shows and didn’t expand upon the 2 hour time slot.. I don’t know why Michael Owuleen didn’t add more to it.. when it started a year ago it was doing really good but lately it’s just going downhill

There's really no more shows to add since a Cartoon Network show can't air on Adult Swim cause of advertising reasons. They can't air Codename: Kids Next Door, The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home or Chowder because they air reruns on Boomerang. The other shows are either too outdated or won't get a lot of views on the block. They should just keep the block at 2 hours with few shows they're airing rotating periodically.

At this point Checkered Past should go over to Cartoon Network. CN needs to end at 7pm (or later) on weekdays, and 8pm (or later) on weekends. Starting January, King of the Hill is airing at 5pm on Adult Swim on Sundays. I get that Family Guy is back, and they are airing Fox shows for money, but we don't need to see Fox shows from 5pm-11pm on weekends. I think that your right, King Of The Hill, Bob’s Burgers Family Guy and American Dad aren’t Cartoon Network originals, they’re just adult themed shows, and I believe that we might had to know that we need to bring Checkered Past to stay two hours LONG because that’s why the people of Cartoon Network news to move their buttocks and get to work as possible when they need to know that they’re going to focus on their schedules and they need to figure it out what can they air what they can’t air and more importantly had to think about what was going to happen to the schedules and I believe that Adult Swim shall be going to watch their schedules because that they would like to move in to 7:00 PM because they need to make sure that they had to THINK about their schedules because that we need to make sense with them, not to deny them SO THERE!

At this point though, the best outcome would probably to spin Warner off back to an independent company and just cut their losses. Maybe they could pull an AT&T when they pawned it off to them and just agree on a reduced amount while passing the majority of the debt onto Warner. Either that or have WBD file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and just different companies go at it.

Sorry to interrupt, but I have bad news for all of you Toonami Rewind fans! December 28, 2024, will be the final week for Toonami Rewind and I am so sad. It had some great shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Sailor Moon, but I do think there's missed potential. They really should've aired Toonami Rewind on Saturdays instead of Fridays because as a dedicated Toonami fan, Toonami airs on Saturdays, so that's why it makes sense here.

Technically there are going to be less airings of Bob's Burgers, King of the Hill and American Dad as Family Guy is going to be added in. But regarding this, it is really stupid how it is only going to be one freaking hour now. There is a possible chance it could be temporary and maybe they are just trying to welcome back family guy on adult swim but as of right now, this seems permanent. For the record I think they are going to rotate shows every day because if you have looked at the recent Checkered past schedule, they are airing more shows in a full week. Also, if you look a little bit further into the next couple of weeks of schedules regarding CN, Toonami Rewind seems like it's going to be leaving, yikes. One last thing, the reason why they air FOX shows primarily in early adult swim hours is because that's what does the best rating wise. Why do you think Adult swim renewed the license to air family guy again?

Checkered Past? Well, there's just one problem with it - it does not even seem to be part of CN in some regions, such as mine. Had a quick look over the schedule to see what it looks like these days, and literally 90% of the schedule is just Gumball and TTG, with random episodes of Totally Spies and Total Drama thrown into the "mix". It sucks that it gets shortened rather than expanded, but we never even had it...
