I love this scene so much. Sam felt so bad that she isn’t good enough, but she didn’t even see what she did and achieved in her life. It’s great, to realize life is not about perfection, it’s about PROGRESSION.

one thing u gotta respect about these DCOMs is the fact that they actually put genuine care and effort into it even though they knew the primary audience was kids and they could have gotten away with halfassing it as a result we can come back as adults and really appreciate it in a way we didn't know how to the first time we saw them

I only saw this movie when it first came out on Disney Channel and I've always imagined my mind like Samantha's when it came to being depressed. Watched again the other night, and setting aside the silly stuff Disney did to make it kid friendly, this movie went where few films would. It's poses so many questions about purpose and what perfect really is and I love it for that ❤
@erikaz15902 жыл бұрын
Come to think of it, this really points out how much they're underselling Loretta as just an idol. This girl can go into comatose people and wake them up. That would easily be a multi-million dollar medical tool.
@christinedomagala37814 жыл бұрын
I honestly felt sorry for Loretta. She was designed to be perfect. All she ever wanted to be was normal and have dreams and dance in the rain. At least she died getting that one chance to dance in the rain. I felt bad for Sam too I’m glad they saw eye to eye and Sam grew from that. This movie doesn’t make you cry, I don’t know what will.

Not odd at all. It is spiritual. It shows the value of progression, improvement, and the beauty of imperfections. As a society, we strive to be perfect (which is impossible). And when we’re presented here with perfection, we see that it’s limiting and not all it’s cracked up to be. To be told that it’s ok to be imperfect and to make a mistake all in the effort of progression and improvement of self, is a beautiful message.

It reminds me of how of how I am. Im one to doubt myself. Some think I'm dramatic cause I'm an easy crier. It's just cause I'm so hard on myself.all the time so I when I felt like I've let myself down and get embarrassed so easily I find myself in tears and shut myself down pushing others away but when someone reminds me of a story Ive told them from the top of my head - a dance I've come up with on my own - a drawing. Ive drawn - or a picture I've colored. They remind me of the incredible world I've created for myself through it all reminding me of what I can do when I put my mind to it so when I watch this it makes me think of that and it means something personal to me and it makes it special for me

GMANKOOL23 because they trusted their kid/teen audience enough to feel they were mature enough to handle it. Now everything is dumbed down and everyone is afraid of offending each other.
