At around hr 50 mark, the question of why did riven not wish the witness away; obviously because story but, i think there are two reasons; one, may be a limitation of rivens powers/wishes, and, hear me out, i think there is something more to the wish than riven n savathun lead on. Maybe just simply wishing the witness away or something, would go against their alterior motives ya know?

I honestly don't know why it's considered conspiratorial or blasphemous that a LIVE SERVICE game implements features and quest design and the like to keep the player engaged. And it's not too far-fetched to think that that engagement is monitored or measured. I imagine minute details in how that engagement is retained, whether it be by getting the player to go here or there and beat this boss or that boss is par for the course based on numerous psychological studies.
