ralfidude I know you don't do it because it sounds "cool" to be honest most of what you say wouldn't be considered "cool" but rather professional and crystal clear. You make it sound like you actually are a pilot. Hell I bet you could be one if someone gave you the opportunity.

@GoWithTh3Flo CBU 97 or 105s are the ones with skeets. The 87s are just regular clusters if i remember correctly so they are best used against infantry and light armored vehicles. Skeets will actually actively seek out armor and destroy them with one hit.

@DornDaniel Sadly no, we were both deploying a GBU at the same exact time and making sure we were on different laze codes so they would not interfere with each other. Only time a buddy lase is required is if a AFAC is present and lasing targets. It is not exactly practical, as a SPI must be set by the plane dropping the bomb, so it's just easier for the plane to drop it himself. Only time it becomes viable is when there is a high threat and he needs to bug out after dropping.
@ralfidude

@FHDanielNL This simulator is based off of DTS which was first developed to train their A10 pilots. They demilitarized it and made it into DCS sim. All AA missiles have a vapor trail while the motor is burning. This is especially true for all the older type missiles and long range missiles. New AA weapons are being produced to minimize the vapor trail but they are still visible if you know where to look.

That my friend is your PAC. I went for the first target, PAC on and you see it stays put and fire, let go of both stage triggers, let the nose naturally go up by itself and then PAC on and trigger, and repeat for all targets. So manual labor, but when you get it, its awesome!

Its an awesome fearsome and leathel plane for its use as well so.. So thats good, that the guys running the DSC game company dont nerf or mess with preformance, weapons. And damage models.. I am still just on the read fase on this one.. Man its much to pay attention with... My first was Black Shark, only the first one, not the upgrade.. And i have a feeling the Black Shark isnt an easy attack helicopter sim. Damn Awesome thought.. I love the P51, most say that. Even though my love lays with the Attack - Interception fighters. With favorites as f-15 eagel, F-16 Falcon. And of course my personal favoritt from modern era fighters. The now retierd, but awesome, sexy Grumann F-14 Tomcat.. Sweet plane.. NO, not from top gun. Saw it much on CNN in the first Iraq war, as the Tomcats was filmed flying fast `n low so the sand was as a fan behind it.. The big heavy macin, that manouvreble. Raw, sexy and damn awesome machine, that was extremly deadly both on short and long range. And a ACE on long range with the AIM-54 Phoenix long-ranged missiles. Fire and forget, if i am not mistaking.. Range: 185 Km++ Speed around Mach 5 WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE F-14 Tomacat in DSC World ;) Thats for sure..

we had 2 aim 9s each, standard for warthogs, full gun ammo, standard for warthogs, and then 6 mavericks (not standard for warthogs as 4 is usually the maximum due to reasons i wont get into). Then 2 CBUs and call it a day. A bit of a heavy payload admittedly for a HOG but it is capable of doing that if it had to. In this mission it would. We went back to rearm a bunch of times since we didnt die. There are other missions where use more realistic loadouts too, it depends...

@kreisch1 Nope, not modded. Depends what missile is fired at you and if the rocket motor is burning. Once the rocket motor is done burning, you will not see the vapor trail, the only other way to see it at that point is to make a hard turn and you can see a trail behind the missile as its banking hard to turn into you.

Rafi do you use Track IR it looks like you do but I have a dilemma. I can never seem to get the setup configured correctly for DCS is there any way you would consider exporting and posting your TIR profile somewhere? Also you obviously play a ton of DCS but how much of your control scheme are custom controls? If you have already done a video on this a link would be wonderful, thanks in advance!
@Rasmorak
@Rasmorak 8 жыл бұрын
As far as Track IR is concerned, you'll just have to set it up yourself. Everyone is different when it comes to track ir. You're at a different height, you sit a different distance from your computer, your monitor may be bigger or smaller etc. I thing I'm going to put together a video detailing how to set up your trackir for yourself and what the different settings mean. I've been seeing this question a lot lately.
@frags8086

I have tried to tweak it but it just seems to snap around to much for me at times. Arma 3 I have no problems at all but in DCS when I want to view my weapons systems up close it glitches around quite a bit :/ A proper updated setup video would probably be good not only for me but many others like me who understand the basics but not the more complex setups for games like DCS. I'd watch that!

Actually, this simulator is in use to train real A-10C pilots, this company was first and formost called DTS, and they create these simultors for the airforce, then they de-classify it and spice it up a bit, then sell it for the public as DCS. DTS is currently making one for the F-18 carrier ops, and F-16 to train their air national guard, we expect to see these two planes in DCS sometime soon, however nothing is confirmed just yet.

It's the same as in the game, you program the parameters of the release in the computer, which in turn will fire automatically, for example, you can program X amount of Chaff or X amount of Flares to be fire in a salvo and the timing between each salvo which in turn can be set to being fired on command or when targeted.

It's by no means easy, and it has the SA-10 sites in place, which is the S-300 system with fairly similar and equal specs to that one. A-10s are not to go up against those threats, that's the job for SEAD. Only time its allowed is if there is terrain cover where we can do a mark point pop up maverick attack with an AGM-65K shot. Still risky as hell though...

Great video man, I was thinking 'This dude got skills' then you started attack runs in close formation and I was like 'That's just showing off now'.
