Any ETA on how soon behind the GBU-12 is? Since i hope they add it soon (and dont wait for the ATFLIR) as now when the AGM-65E added we can simply use it as a type of laser spotter (finding the lazed target) and then drop the GBU-12 in CCIP. And having the GBU-12 would add more flexibility (also increase the load size as the AGM-65 can only be carried one per pylon where as multiple GBU-12s can be carried per pylon).

Long as you have a general location of the lased target you shouldnt need a laser finder (the mav in your example) to hit it. Set up your CCIP point approximately where you think the laze is, preferably a little long. Drop the bomb from decent alt and it should be able to correct. Thats what you have to do in the mirage and it works just fine

E F and G mavericks are only ever carried one per station, afaict. In contrast to D and H on the A-10, which have a different (lighter?) warhead.

The D and H use 126lb shape charge warheads whereas the E uses a 300 lb penetrating blast frag warhead. So the E is definitely heavier.

How does one manually enter the location information on the waypoint? Not talking about North-East info, but typing in GG176760 etc, I do not see a keypad to enter letters on the F-18. Also, was your Waypoint 2 already setup to this location? I just noticed you select WP1 on your map and that was all the information you entered for waypoints.

No, it has no means to determine range with no slaving sensor like a TGP.

How do you actually find the target though? Surely there has to be a way to input the grid/coordinates they gave you, otherwise what's the point in them telling you? Are we supposed to just fly around aimlessly until our maverick finds it?

Awesome feature, i'd like to report a bug tho; Loaded 4 maverick for a range mission but the codes/station numbers are mixed up and not matching, for example The Stores pages show all codes set correctly and the STEP works as required but the MAV page show stations number not matching actual and the STEP there goes to station with no maverick. I'm thinking the variables might be mixed up on the back end showing the wrong number/codes in the MAV page. Awesome job as usual!

yeah its frustrating. They probably needed to develop the weapon first in order to test the FLIR system. That's certainly why we got the missile first. In the other hand, we can also ask a team mate in A10 or Harrier to buddy lasing.

Uhm maybe you can join in MP. Plenty of guy's that like to laze for you in their A-10 or harrier. Mirages and F-5 DCS players are using the GBU's like that for a while as well. Just give it plenty more time. It's going to be worthed at the end. I am waiting myself on some HARM's and HARPOONS. But without all the nice features this bird is amazing already anyway. Lets get practicing :)

The core code is getting an overhaul for a lot of this stuff. I'd imagine they want to totally finish the overhaul of the FLIR system prior to adding ATFLIR (I really hope I'm wrong and we get ATFLIR as well as more PGMs sooner rather then later!). Either way, I really hope (whether it's fruitless or not), for HARM by the time the Tomcat arrives (if it isn't, I'll be working on my RIO skills anyway!)
