Awesome video man. I've only been playing DCS (viper is my only jet) for about 6 months. I don't know all the terminology so these were overwhelming and it helps a lot seeing someone fly through it.

I never understand why people jettison the tanks in Red Flag missions. The only time we drop them is in emergencies in a training environment. Since you can’t be killed in the campaign I would recommend keeping them, hit your target, and only engage air targets if you cannot avoid.

Makes perfect sense to me, wouldn't want to drop or waste any equipment if can be avoided. Struggling with speed & energy through this whole campaign tho I was ready to drop everything but kitchen sink. Lucky I didn't have to face the review board after

Thanks mark. I really enjoyed the a10c one, you get a nice lil tour of the area in first few missions. Havent jumped in f15 yet either. It came out when i had bad computer so waited, but now all the full fidelidy jets out i havent jumped back in

@@lankypilot778 yep, the campaign briefing. I have been looking for good background info to make my NTTR missions beter. I really like the viper but between early access and my old X52 Hotas not having enough buttons (IMHO) to map the Viper controls properly, I have been flying the also awesome Tomcat which is a lot easier on the control mapping. I will definitely be flying more Viper when I upgrade my HOTAS. Thanks for making these videos ;)

I flew the a10c for 3yrs with the logitech 3d pro so i know the pain lol. I havent done so myself but do u use modifier button? Seems people get around it that way. This post was for f18 but talks bout the x52 clutch option to set pinkie switch up so can use for eg. the hat for 2 different comands like trim & dms

Yes Bunyaps missions are a lot less story driven than say baltic dragon & focus on mission tasking only. Not that thats a bad thing, with comms overload im often missing half of them i cant multitask lol

Hi! Like your videos! I wondered, how you open the debriefing window while the mission's still running? Tried the keybinding in the General settings, but it didn't worked for me...

Thanks Thomas. The debriefing window should be under same name in controls. Or under 'score' maybe. Unless it had to do with the mission or server you were on at the time maybe, not sure sorry.

Hey, not 100% if I am on same page, but if you mean that you have slewed tpod over to target & weapons not hitting that point, pushing tms up should designate it as target. Switches it between point & area doing so. At least from memory thats how it works in viper, I am in & out of a lot of planes

Hi Mike, once you have campaign downloaded go to your dcs main folder > mods > canpaigns > F16 Viper Red Flag > docs folder & will find them all there. Enjoy!

Haha after all the time ive spent in viper you wouldve thought flying at half speed wouldve dawned on me i mighta been dragging something 😂 The mission pdf on the left is just me alt tabbing out to adobe reader. Anything on right side is the in game kneeboard. Trouble is when alt tabbing u loose control aircraft so always good to have good missions with well laid out briefing on kneeboards Thanks for watching!

Hi Colin. Its a new pin feature that came in last yr. Look at botton left of kneeboard & you will find a pin page option. You can toggle/hide that from memory so if cant see it on yours, you might have it hidden by default not sure.

Hey Rico, thanks heaps much appreciated. This Red Flag is a third party campaign purchased through the store so won't show up in general campaigns for Viper. The documentation is with the campaign folder when you buy. Might be on sale atm around $10 if interested

In this campaign I used a combination of the in game kneeboard & also a pdf which I was alt-tabbing to. Atm in DCS one of the updates caused the alt-tabbing to drop back to desktop tho so can't do it anymore at this stage.

Ah the bookmark one is the in game kneeboard. 'k' on most planes, just search the controls page to get all the commands. You can also add your own pages on there too

FYI, the flaps in the Viper are automatic and linked to the landing gear. You didn't leave them down.

Thanks heaps. Yes that was my understanding, but had them down mid flight with gear up when on an outside view so somewhere along line mustve overode them im thinking. Havent had issue since tho

well....24:30 speeding up, seems to be no option for you? you are not even at full mil....and right next to your stick, there are some switches, that should turned on...and go full mil to speed up, you are about to fall out the sky.....248kts.....

Thanks, which switches were those? Its been a long time since was in Viper. For mil power I generally go off the guage that kicks in when afterburners are on. When i see that needle move I ease throttle back till its zero again & leave it there. Altho most this campaign I was very paranoid about fuel as well considering I killed 2 tanker crews lol

I would have been on full mil power & not wanting to hit afterburners, not the best fuel economy the viper. Decided to cop being late. Ideally I would have timed run from marshall better.
