Well that’s the weekend written off getting to grips with this. I love the Mirage on DCS; for me it’s the perfect mix of hands-on flying, challenging SA, unique weapons and old school navigation. Kudos to those who flew it (and fixed it of course!) and kudos to Eagle Dynamics for simulating it so convincingly.

I want a Rafale in dcs so badly. It is my favorite jet ever. As a newbie to flight sim, my biggest struggle is deciding what to commit to. I love the tomcat, the viper the hornet and the hog but none of them has that special place in my heart so that I can keep learning and practicing.

Generally modern planes can't be made because there is very little declassified information about them so we can get either cold war stuff or around 2005-2007 versions of older airframes. On the other hand DCS Eurofighter is in development (yet still quite far off) so who knows.

Hi, Eagle Dynamics Team! Lately, I've been binge-watching your videos on KZbin, and I have to thank you for creating such entertaining videos. They were fun to watch and really educational. Since you guys work on digital combat simulators, one thing that I wanted to ask you is: Out of all the games/simulators that you have, which ones are in your opinion most educational? What I mean by this is, a game that has an educational aspect to it, something like an in-game flight school that teaches you real-life stuff. For example; something like where the instructor tells you what is what, what's it used for, how to do that and that, standard procedures, etc. Especially for combat jets or helicopters. If there is no such in-game thing, then perhaps something like detailed text instructions (whether in-game, or in the manual / handbook that came with the game) that teaches you all about flying, combat procedures, combat maneuvers, drills, plane/heli features, etc. as it would be taught to real-life jet/attack helicopter pilots? I know this is a bit of a stretch, but honestly, I like to learn about stuff like this (even tho I don't plan on becoming a pilot or anything like that lol), and having games that are something more than mindless arcade "shoot-em-up" would bring great value to it in my opinion. The games' age is irrelevant, whether they're newly released or "retro" games, I don't mind. It's the content that matters to me. The same goes for the timeline they're in (WW2, Cold War, Modern, etc.). Do any games like this come to mind? If there are such games like these, then do you perhaps know of a real-life literature explaining stuff like this whose info could be used in video games as well? Hope to hear from you. I know of no better person to ask this than you. Cheers, and keep up the good work!

Honestly finding the most rewarding and fun modules are the ones that fight back when you try to fly them, without all the bells and whistles just to take a break from the nicer FCS and weapons suites on modern jets. Same reason I love that F5E and can’t wait for the phantom. 😊 keep it up!

I think this will be huge in the Cold War servers. Don’t think there is anything on the other side to match the Super 530F. And that RWR will prevent most sneak attacks.

M2000 is far more modern than the old Mirage F1

It's much older so less competitive against newer planes, the EE closes the gap a little though but the experience is all dials, lights and switches. The modules are great so far with plenty of detail to graphics and systems.

@@Hustler9g that is correct about the russian planes. However SU-30MKK is a CHINESE two seater version and internally upgraded and made. Thus it's possible. There were rumors on forums about this while ago. Also there were rumors about German MiG-29A version being made by Eagle Dynamics and it was supposed to follow after a Black shark 3. However with the current world events we don't know what fate awaits that idea. And i would like VERY much to have something for the red team besides ''Jeff'' only. Razbam have announced in 2018 about MiG-23MLA variant being made but F-15E just took entire time of the project mostly and it will be a while before we see anything MiG-23 related
