All maps really depend on the content made for them. Iraq has a lot of potential for missions, but, I’m fine with waiting a bit longer to buy it.

Two teams working on two different maps mean two maps that will take forever to finish, the thing that is so frustrating to so many. The Syria map is the best DCS has to offer - IMO.

I really don't mind that Iraq is the new map. Yes it's another brown map but it completes a historically important area that coincides with the majority of the aircraft currently in the game. What will interest me is what map comes next. What I'm hoping for is, , like most people, is a few more cold war era maps (Fulda Gap, GIUK including Northern Europe and Scandinavia etc) or the SE Asian conflict maps (Korea and Vietnam in particular).

Yeah I already pulled the trigger on the whole Iraq map. But I must say, I'm getting the same vibe from my Afghanistan map. An overwhelming sense of "MEH", and whats worse, is I'm a Desert Storm veteran. Honestly, I have Afghanistan, and have only done ONE fam flight there. I think it's fair to say, but I believe I am, like a lot of other people, starting to "brown out" and suffer from Desert Overload. It seems to me like ED is almost intentionally dancing around where people WANT to fly. Fulda Gap, Greenland - Iceland - UK, Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia - Thailand, Korea, Taiwan. It's kind of like this. I have a 2TB nvme drive, and a 2 TB SSD storage drive. Both are almost full and mostly with DCS stuff on my gaming rig. I thought LONG AND HARD about pulling the trigger on Iraq, as I have most of the Middle East downloaded already, and I don't fly them much unless its online with my squadron, and space is becoming precious. As I said, I almost DIDN'T get Iraq as space and "brown" considerations, I asked myself, "Do I have the space, the money, and most importantly, the INTEREST in ANOTHER brown map." I have Kola, and it holds my interest FAR more than any of the desert maps. Not sure whats going on here. ED may have some master plan to link all these maps together somehow. I don't know. But I never have been very interested in the Middle East in the first place, and I'm sure there are a lot of other people like me. I hope ED wakes up and smells the coffee. They aren't going to be able to keep getting away selling desert to people for much longer

I think they are fair comments. I have waited for the things I bought in pre-release, and now I'm done buying and then hoping for years to have a complete module. look at the F/A F-18c, it's still not finished and it's going on 6 years old. When they take 6 months or more to finally put in a pilot for it, it's pretty sad. I am holding up new purchases until ED finishes more of their modules. I am disappointed with the Afghanistan map and should have bought the Kola map instead. I will bet the Kola map is finished long, long before any map ED does, and interesting they announced the updates promised are delayed while they work on improved methods of map making. Technology is a moving target, so good luck with that. I have enough modules to keep me busy for some years to come. I wonder how one module maker can put out a module including several versions of a very detailed aircraft while ED takes years for minor updates to theirs.
