I use one of my throttle buttons as a modifier key, and mapped the joystick to the camera slew while that button is held. So I come to a stop, engage auto-hover, hold down throttle btn2, and use the stick to aim the camera. The stick buttons do different things while the modifier key is held, too, e.g. the hat switch controls zoom not trim

Thats so damn smart, i have a dedicated joystick on my throttle but will defently use it for other modules where i need more precision.

I do this too but I find that once the modifier is held and another button is pressed, the modifier releases even if I physically am still holding it down. So I'll have to click the modifier again. Essentially, I only get one action per modifier press or hold. How are you achieving a constant hold state?

for some reason when i press the hover button it just loses control is there a remedy for this?

Hardest part is getting this damn thing to stay in a stable hover. Such a fun helo to fly thought. The TV on this thing is way better than the Kiowa

Indeed. There have been a huge update to the autopilot since i made this, so I might remake it soon as it is a lot harder to master now

@@dcsheinlein i am a newcomer to the gazelle. the autohover seems completely fucked. now that polychop personel disappeared the module is fucked

Good stuff! I am having some problems though, the auto hover wants to kill me from time to time. While I'm looking around in the camera I can see in my peripheral vision that the heli starts to tilt and down we go :)

yes I have noticed a lot of differences in the updated gazelle. I think I will make an updated version of this tutorial in the future
