DCS VR 4K | F/A-18C | 4YA Syria | JDAM's, Missiles and Guns Over Beirut

I decided to get my quick fix of flying in DCS one evening on the 4YA server. I loaded up with some JDAMs, AMRAAM's and Sidewinders and headed off the carrier to Beirut. The enemy had already been hit a couple of times so most of their air defenses were down but there still was the Roland which took a couple of shots at me. I was lucky to avoid being hit!
After hitting some ground targets, I set up a CAP orbit and co-ordinated with others to take out enemy air as it attempted to lift off from Beirut.

Great recording with the Varjo Aero Str][ker very clear and crisp. You have the Hornet system down pretty damn good man ! Great job 👍🏻

Thank you for those great compliments! The truth though is that the headset itself has no bearing upon the recording quality as I record the DCS game mirror. I think the trick to getting super clean recordings is around the OBS settings and then selecting the right export settings for uploading to KZbin. As for the Hornet, I do feel that I've kind of got it figured out. There are still things that I learn and mistakes that I make. I like to watch the videos to learn and improve what I do. I really should pick another aircraft to start flying. I have plenty but they sit in the hangar collecting dust. I think my next focuses will be the Apache and the Strike Eagle. Both are aircraft which I "flew" back in the 80's on my Commodore 64 as a kid and I loved them both. I've flown both a bit but I really need to focus in and master them. I admittedly love flying fast, taking off from and recovering on carriers too much. The Hornet really satisfies that for me. I have the Tomcat as well but I never really jelled with it. It’s been a lot of fun on that server. I hop on other servers (some 4YA, some not) and there’s a magic which is missing. I think it’s a combination of the map layout, enemy positioning and the other guys flying around. I hear and see some of the regulars there and it all feels great.
